I am sorry for the foul language...kind of. Seriously guys, don't bother commenting on this. I am just a upset fan who got his data reset 2 months ago and hasn't been able to let it go. All my hard work for 5 months where gone. I had reported the bug over
back at the double helix forum and killer instinct international. The problem was swept under the rug. The problem was known, the forum pages where big. There where numerous ways the bug happened and many people where hurt because of this. I stopped playing
the game after the data reset. But ever so often I had some hope that everything would come back. Or that at least they would give those who lost everything a code or something to have everything unlocked. The online mode is so broken it's not worth doing
it all over again. Not to mention with so many hugs, the game under "better hands" I honestly like the new company hands better than dh, the fact is I lost all trust in this game. Will my data rest again, after I start unlocking things. Even the addition of
shadow jago or Fulgor was nothing to me. A few friends I know that play this get reset every so often. Seriously why? A fighting game shouldn't reset your data, that's all you have. Sf4 even with data reset wouldn't hurt colors or taunts that much. But Eitherway.
The question is, do you guys even care about this? Will this problem be ignored again? I asked this question during the live stream of the Fulgor showing, and the question was brushed off. I emailed the company head and never heard back. an administrator told
me they they where aware of the problem on the last dh site but they just released 2 ways in which the glitch happens. Instead of adding new things, how about recreations to those who lost it all. It's just the most frustrating thing to happen to me in video
game timeframe. Seriously, over nothing, playing multiplayer. I can't get a refund, and it hurts more knowing that I loved this game to death until that happned. Then it just wasn't worth it anymore. And I won't get the second season, I don't think I can
support this game anymore. I am such a huge fan but this is just something that happens to people right? You get over it play it again and lose everything again, and then repeat. I still have my data from my snes and my n64. But not my xbox one data. No help
from the company, nothing on the forums but people hoping something would happen. I haven't played this game at all, and I can't have my original data back. It's gone forever, no data saved on my xbox, just a cloud passing by, that looked like my cheerfulness
and loyalty to this franchise. I can't even be mad anymore, just disappointed. And I know most of you don't care, which is fine, I just wanted to say that, I rather not start a big thread AGAIN in a KNOWN problem that NOTHING is being done. Will you guys work
on fixing this and getting people's data back, or giving them something. No. Take care those of you who lost your data. And enjoy the game those of you who haven't lost your data yet.

hate live streams of games before its even released over here.....just takes away that "firing up for the first time feeling" with a new game. As Makin suggested...do a search yourself, I could be watching a stream perfectly fine but you might not get the
same quality...much like your own streaming and Q&A Session

yeah the stuff on the game should have been unlocked from the start. And the DLCs should have been all new content like other games do. And the whole characters not showing up was total bs.

 

I purposely reset my data because I felt sorry for you lot, it hasn't bothered me, infact it has given me something to do again.

They have said that they cannot restore the data.

Just unlock everything again, you are the one letting this affect you way too much my friend

 

Don't get me wrong, I know people who like to reset their stats, but that's not the case. It's killing me not to play this game. It was honestly my favorite game on the xbox one. But you also misunderstood the real problem of the game.

The game data resets almost everytime you play local which is why I bought the game. Sure, even if I started playing the game again and managed to unlock Everything, all over again... You know all the fight titles, all the online victories, all the accessories,
the problem still remains that the broken game will just reset again.

On the dh forum there was a big forum going about this. People asked that at least they have a unlock everything so we can enjoy the game and not have to worry about unlocking everything again. This error has happened to about 1/3 the community, no one is
safe from it happening. I like having everything unlocked, and I honestly hate the online mode for this game, ranked battles are not done right. They punish good players, and the jail system is garbage. Casual matches are fun, that much is certain but even
so you can't unlock colors and items for those ranked based challenges. They said they can't give back the data, but they don't do anything to stop it. I wasn't able to play before the chief thunder patch cause the game kept crashing. Once that patch came
out, I played a match and lost everything, on a live twitch stream.

There is no point in playing the game how it's meant to be played. If they wanted a straight up just fight game then they should not lock the items if this glitch keeps happening over and over. Where's the point in playing a fighting game if the data resets.
I know it's not a adventure rpg or what not, but the problem still persists.

I like playing the games, but lets take for example, the snes version or arcade which is what I been playing more. The characters are just that, characters, will all the colors you want and you play. This one has you unlocking accessories and colors that
you want and like. I normally do the retros but even so, all my unlocks hurt me more than my rank and level. I can always play that again, but it took me 4 months to unlock all colors and accessories.

I am not trying to be rude man, it's just when you lose trust in a game, it's hard to get it back. Maybe in a year or two I'll load up this game and try to do it again.... But not now. Not when the game isn't even complete. I bought the game at launch and
was happy with my purchase because I had faith in this game, I always loved killer instinct from the days playing it on my snes. And though I am not to happy with some designs and some nicks and picks, I think I will wait for the game to hit an area where
they actually care about the game enough to fix the major problems that face it. Trust me I know I am letting it hurt me, but someone has to. It's not easy having this game in your system and not playing it out of spite. They won't care if they don't have
1 more support for the second season, and so on. I been trying for about 2 months just to talk with a representing and been shot down many times. That just shows they don't care about the problem.

Have fun playing the game man. Do it for me.

 

You have every right to be upset, and I hope Iron Galaxy learns from DH's mistakes. The problem with Killer Instinct, and the reason it is buggy as hell, is because the game wasn't ready to be released at the Xbox One launch. This isn't necessarily all DH's
fault, as I'm sure MS was breathing down their backs, but the sad fact is, we purchased a broken game. EA got sued over Battlefield's network issues (some of which rendered the game completely unplayable). Should we do the same? Sometimes I feel like it. When
I can't play my friends in Lobbies... When I can't play in Exhibition... When I have to restart KI over and over and over again just to get it to simply start. When I've had to uninstall it and reinstall it so many times I can't count. (Hell until the Fulgore
patch, my copy of KI would boot already out of sync! -- I almost replaced my Xbox One because of this issue).

The issues that you and I have had are the types of things you see in a Beta not a ready to be released game. In truth, I'd would have much rather seen KI released now (everything fixed) than to keep fighting with a broken game. I love it, but like you,
it's causing me more pain than it is worth.

 

Yeah, I know.... I love project spark, and it has a lot of errors in it, but that's the point. It's a beta and it asked the people to help make it better, they get things back they actually listen. I can report a problem and get feedback for it . This game
suffered for the mistakes of "those" but that shouldn't be blamed on the gamers who play it. And it's just sad when they get ignored when there are serious problems.

Before the update I had that desync problem and same had to reinstall and install it so many items. I tried everything, I just finished reporting bugs I found on the xbox one after the new patch, and I called them up today and asked about this game again.
They told me to try the new delete saved data that deletes local saved files and syncs with your cloud data. It didn't work, but that's another problem. The games should have just had a save file that you are in control of. These clouds are just making gaming
worse.

Eitherway, I am just going to wait till this passes, to finally touch this game again.... I have a lot of faith in IG, more than I did with DH. Until then, I have to speak up, even if no one cares... You know?

It's just something I wouldn't wish on anyone. I just feel bad for the rest of the people on the same boat.

(On that matter, bf 4 kept crashing on me before they patched it about 3 months ago, still so many bugs.... And I just couldn't stand cod ghost, not to mention I had a desync error and file not found disc read errors. So all I had was ki and dr3 (which I
beat 3 times)) I just been on 360 lately.)

 

If you want to do local matches, just do what I do, make another account. If you set your xbox one to your home xbox, then any accounts you make will get xbox live gold and all of your xbox one games, provided that you have a xbox live gold account. Then,
you can use all of your characters on that account and use that for versus matches. That way, you won't lose stuff you really care about anymore.

 

I just disconnected the internet and play it offline, but I haven't been in the mood to play it since the data reset. My sister lost her data as well.

 

My Brother ha shad the same problem. But the last time we did something that caused the whole thing to miss up it didn't hurt his data a pit after that. Maybe the patch stopped any future data corruptions.

 

Answer this question: Did you somehow launch the game before it completely downloaded?? That's what I did when the Spinal patch was released which caused the data corruption, but after the Fulgore patch was released it stopped. I hope that the issue gets
fixed and doesn't happen again, but to let ya know if that was the case be sure not to do that again.

 

If that questions toward me than no, the glitch happens a number of reasons, mostly local play though. Even after the recent patch it can be done over and over again by a few ways. I highly don't recommend doing these unless you plan on restarting.

1. If you have your kinect on and have two profiles playing, the kinect will pick up on the second player login, kick the first player from playing then crash. If this happens you turn off your xbox don't restart ki, and hard disconnect the xbox.

2. If your playing kinect and you touch another controller it will confuse kinect and sign you in wrong and crash. Same as before.

3. If your playing without kinect on and you do a live twitch stream, local, it might crash, (happens to me) after ultra I choose to pick different character, boom data reset. After crash reloaded.

4. If playing with/without kinect happens both ways, on local or ranked battles. When other player disconnects, it counts as loss, when you try to find another match and it's the same person if the person leaves your game will crash, and on reload you lost
your data.

5. If you switch your region on,before, or during launch of game, your data will reset.

6. If your watching a saved video and the game desysnc and crashes, on reboot it will reset.

These are all the ones that happen after the latest patch. you can uninstall the game and reinstall it, you can dete catche, saved data, retrive gamertag, and even hard factory reset your xbox, but once reset that's it. You will keep your achievements. And
you will keep your dojo trials, but everything else is wiped clean. There is also a error to this glitch where your paid costumes won't appear fixed by reinstalling game and logging in as guest then dashboard ing going back to sigh In with your profile.

Look when I say I played the *** out of huh is game and tried everything I meant it. I was a high level member on the dh forum and helped a lot of people. But. Once this *** happens to me, and people where upset and *** as they should have been, all we asked
was if we couldn't have our data back, that they either unlocked everything for everyone, or reset everyone back to nothing. But this glitch infringes with xbox policy on achievements, where there are no handicaps for achievements, so for example where one
achievement was almost unlocked say 100 victories with a character and you where at 99 and your data got reset by the company and you where back to 0, I fridges with their policy. But that is besides the point. Xbox doesn't really care.

 

I see how you feel Erick. My xbox 360 320GB hard drive just corrupted and i lost EVERYTHING. (i only download my games.) and all my data and things are gone. i dont have the money to buy a another one as im getting a hard drive for my xbox one and im not
going to waste anymore money for the 360.

 

That is rough man. I have about 80 games on the 360, that is just *** hurt man. But I heard that if your hardrive got corrupted you could format it and start anew. The same thing happens to my nintendo wii after the super smash brothers update error that
slows down your wii software. I even lost my account for like 10 games I had purchased, plus the save data for all my stages I had made on ssbb (about 100 stages). Damn it man, when ever these kinds of things happen to people it just hurts so much. I think
the only game I was ever happy it reset on me was pokemon red or blue. No matter how complete it was, I was alway up for the challenge again. That and super mario world. Still man, I feel ya.
