Live Service Alert and Twitch

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having issues with your Twitch app on an Xbox 360 is that correct? Have you ever had trouble watching videos off of the same app in the past? Are there any other games
or apps that are giving you similar issues? Can you try signing into a different Xbox Live Profile and see if the situation persists. By default you may also want to try uninstalling the app and then power cycling (safely power down then unplug from the power
source for at least a minute or two) the console and reinstalling it when it comes back up.

I have this exact issue with Twitch and Amazon Prime Video on Xbox 360. When I test my connection it says there is a service alert, but there are no service alerts on Xbox.com. It's been a persisting issue for weeks now and there seems to be no fix.

It could be an issue with the twitch apps, if so, then you will need to contact twitch about it. As for the service alert on the Xbox 360, that's a bug. Pretty much every Xbox 360 is showing there is one even if there isn't.

Also you do not need a gold subscription to access twitch.

There is a service alert for twitch running at the moment saying they are on the case. I tried streaming most of the day from the app and it was just one big fail so ended using my Elgato instead.
