Live Rewards. Anyone checked their star level recently?

As the title suggests, check it!!

I was on 3 stars under the rebate system, and well on the way to 4 stars. Checked it today after some purchases last week and i'm now 2 stars with zero progress to the next.

The rewards forum is covered with similar stories too. Looks like MS have pulled a sneaky reset on us.

I didn't get the VIP diamond for xbox live rewards.

Hi DDXDB. Xbox Live Rewards does not have a VIP Diamond level for members. We checked your purchases for MyVIP Star level and you currently do not have any qualifying purchases made in your Xbox Live Rewards region. We do see purchases made in a different
region, but that does not get calculated since it is outside of your Rewards region. To get progress, you'll need to either change your Rewards region, or make purchases in your Rewards region.

 

Microsoft Rewards Level 2 not appearing.

Xbox live Rewards just changed to Microsoft rewards in Canada a few days ago and it says in the FAQ "Previous Xbox live rewards members with a My VIP Star Rank will automatically be upgraded to Level 2 until December 31st 2018". I had a 1 star My VIP Rank
but I'm still only a level one. Nothing on the Microsoft Rewards website mentions this promotion at all and it's only on the FAQ on xbox.ca talking about the transition. Is anyone having a similar issue or know if I need to do anything in order to make the
level 2 rank appear?

 

Yeah mine dropped to 0!

A. In September, a year after we first launched MyVIP, we re-evaluated the program and made adjustments where necessary. In order to respond to our growing membership numbers and expanded regions, we adjusted the levels of MyVIP to better focus on offering
additional monthly missions and other ways to earn for more members around the globe. We are also focused on adding more ways to Reward our most loyal VIP members with additional special offers and VIP Exclusives events.

 

You shouldn't drop to 0 though.I was about 5% away from 4 stars but now i'm still at 3 stars but at 0%

They are only meant to reset it once a year in January as far as I know,unless it's changed again & as usual they haven't bothered telling us.

 

Yeah I was only at 2 I think Badger, tbh I don't really buy much digital stuff anyway so won't massively affect me but it's definitely a kick in the teeth to some.

 

Unless you are regularly buying digital games then the reward service IMO is not very good. I literally just do the survey once a month, and I have to do this for 20 months to earn the 5000 points that I can then cash in (don't even know the cash value of
this, perhaps £5).

 

Less than that,it's about £3.70.

I think whats annoying people the most is that Microsoft have changed something again & not announced it.

This is the 3rd thing in a couple of weeks that's been changed that I've come across & I've found out through other people,not Microsoft.

 

I have been put back to zero, the rewards program doesnt feel very rewarding anymore

 

May start giving CDkeys a chance for DD codes...... This is dirty pool from MS.....

 

Since you all are rewards members maybe you know the answer to this. The 15,000 point credit for pre-ordering through the Microsoft Store, how long does that usually take to be applied?

As for the rewards program overall i find it ok. It is free so nothing lost. And 15,000 credits for pre-ordering is equivalent to $15 for me so I can pre-order 2 games i was going to buy anyway and get back $30 worth of credit. Not a bad deal.

Well, I'm still a 4 star VIP, so I suppose that's good, but I'm at the bottom of that tier instead of getting any closer to 5 stars... *sigh*

 

Ever since best buy introduced Gamer's Club unlocked, any other rewards system is pretty much pointless to me. $50 for a new release with tax and a $10 pre order bonus is a sweet. Sucks for all you that are just digital that Microsoft did that.
