Live prepaid does not work

Not sure how in 2016, you don't use debit or credit cards but that's just me.

Anyway, could someone else confirm if using prepaid VISAs work or not? You could always go to gamestop or bestbuy, use your prepaid VISA card on a subscription xbox live card. That should work. Perhaps order a digital code on amazon with your prepaid VISA. I'm pretty sure they accept it.

I have used prepaid visa/mastercards in the past and they have worked. I never tried for a gold sub though because I would never pay full retail price for a gold sub

Yes, already tried, but says that the code is already activated.

 

I have the same problem right now. What am I meant to do? I can't access MS chat, I cannot call anyone and now I have a prepaid card that does not work and my gold is almost up, while I appear to be out £40.

support.xbox.com/contact-us

Select "chat with Microsoft support" OR "request a call from support"! They can check your Xbox Live prepaid code status and they can help you if there is something wrong.

 

Yes I tried that, the issue is not yet resolved but they do know about it now.

It seems to be a mystery to the support also.

 

I bought a pre paid card for 3 months and I keep getting an error code saying my billing is locked or a different status problem. How do I fix this?

 

I have the same problem. When I try to redeem my 12 month code it just says that an error occured with XBL and that the code can not be redeemed...

 

G'day ReacT! What is the exact error code & message that appears when you try to redeem your 12-month code? And have you tried to redeem it in multiple locations, such as on your console and at xbox.com?

Combo, you show as being a gold member now. I expect it just took the system awhile to update things. Have you tried to get on LIVE recently?
