Live membership not working....?

Hi.

I've just redeemed a 2 day trial code for Gold membership. It all went through fine but isn't working? When I go to "My games and apps > Memberships" it's showing there but won't allow me to play any online games. I just keep being prompted to buy Xbox live.
Any ideas please?

Trial codes do not change your account status to gold. They will only give you access to some benefits of online multiplayer. Some codes will only work with the games they came with and they will not work with all game modes.

Power Cycle your Xbox One console.

Just to add to above if you already have an Xbox Live gold membership then the trial code will not work until your current live membership expires. Once your membership arrives the code should then work.

i think this applies to everyone who is already in the family membership not someone who transfers regions

if you had created the family membership and not added someone this may apply you will have to contact support as this is a new tool

sharing Xbox live gold membership only works on the Xbox One. unfortunately on Xbox Live, everyone will need a gold membership to be able to talk to each other and play games together.
