    Live issue with Netflix app




    I am having frequent disconnects with live when I am in the Netflix application. I am at loss at what to do. I have been running fine up until about a month ago. Does anyone have a solution?

    What Country/State/Province do you live in? United States/Washington

    Modem brand & model number: Netgear Cable Modem Model: CMD31T

    Router brand & model number: Belkin N600 DB Wireless N+ Router Model: F9K1102v1

    If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal (Xbox 360S) adapter? Black external adapter

    Things you have tried:

    Deleting my profile and downloading it.

    Clearing the cache x3

    Putting the network settings back to default

    Deleting the Netflix app and downloading it.

    Using a different profile with the same netflix account.

    Using a different Netflix account.

    Rebooting both the xbox 360 and the router.

    Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown Unknown

    Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type? No

    Any Error Codes you encounter: None

    Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)? Comcast

    After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" press “Y” for "More Info”. In the pop-up that appears, what are the following values, if shown? (If a value below does not appear for you, just leave it blank.)

    X: 0000-F001

    Z: 0000-0000

    Why do we pay for Live?

    We actually ran into this issue again earlier. My son wanted to watch Dr Who on Netflix, so I put the Xbox on the Netflix app, forgetting you need live for it. Pffft! So we walked downstairs and watched it on playstation. Such a weird thing.

    Hey mate, out of curiosity, is it when you first start the app up that you signs you out of live? If that's the case an easy fix for this can be deleting the profile from the console (profile only), clear the system cache, restart the console and re-download
    the profile.

    Delete and re-download profile:
    support.xbox.com/.../profile-move-delete


    Clear system cache:
    support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache

    Error while accessing Apps. Tried with Netflix or BBC iPlayer or anything else

    No error code

    Uninstalled Netflix and reinstalled again.

    -- Same Response -- Same error as above ---

    As I was able to reach out to the MS app store, and the advert of Netflix came up fine, and was able to install the Netflix App, I infer that - there was no issue with the hardware or the network.

    In summary, the issue is with the XBox Live Service.

    Mine is XBox One.

    Sorry to hear about the Netflix sign out issues. Is the issue you are experiencing with just the Netflix app or is it occurring in other apps as well? Let's see what we can do to get this issue sorted.

    Please give the following steps a try:



    • First check to see if there is a service alert with the Netflix app on our Xbox Live Status page.
    • If there are no service alerts, try to delete and reinstall the Netflix app.
    • From the Xbox Dashboard, go to Settings and then select
      System
      .
    • Select Storage and then select your primary storage device (most likely
      Hard Drive).
    • Select Games and Apps and select any items that refer to Netflix.
    • Select Delete and then return to the Xbox Dashboard.
    • Navigate to Apps, and then select Browse apps.
    • Search for the Netflix app and select Netflix app to download the app.
    Give the suggested steps a shot and let us know if you are continuing to experience issues with Netflix.

    Netflix not working because I'm banned?

    Hello VeggieMonster94,

    Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums. In regards to this issue with not being able to use Netflix, due to your console and profile being permanently suspended you will not be able to connect to Xbox Live or use any of the Xbox Live features on the console.
    We understand that you are able to use some apps but apps that require you to connect to Xbox Live, not the Gold Live but the Silver Live, will not allow you to connect to them.

    If you'd like further assistance with the Netflix app or Netflix in general you can view the
    Netflix Help Website for more info. At this time we will be locking this thread as there are no other resolutions for this issue.
