    My xbox live has been down all weekend, ive looked around and a small amount of people are having the same problems ( able to get updates, certain amount of friends show up as online but they arent, it wont let me try to connect to xbox live) all my real
    life friends are having no issues and Microsoft doesn't seem to notice that there are a small amount of us who are stuck in some sort of xbox live limbo. any help would be greatly appreciated

    *UPDATE* this has been fixed no thanks to xbox, but thanks to a reddit post by darren a few hours ago. if you are having this problem its because of a recent xbox update all you have to do is sign out, then back in

    Thanks for the update!

    Im glad you found a solution.

    I had the issue of where you couldnt join partys or anyones game, it says 'everything is good' when connecting but you cant use any feature. error code 0x8500FFFF showed up.

    I found a solution of if your account is undergoing security issues such as you keep clicking skip when on outlook or microsoft.com to the security verification it will lock your account for 21 days if you pass the day you need to do the check.

    Then as you stated above, sign out of your account and sign back in.

    This is freakin ridiculous. Something happened on their end the other day as well. what ever it is needs to be fixed.

    Solution 2: Sign out and restart your console Sign out of the profile that’s associated with your gamertag. Restart the console, and then try to sign in to your profile again.
