    Hi, my son has an active live gold subscription (active for months and runs to Mar 19) however he keeps getting a message saying that he needs to purchase live gold to play Sea of Thieves or Fortnight. Is anyone else having this issue? Thank you

    Does the One block play of used games in any way?

    Plus, you no longer need xbox live gold to use netflix and the other services.

    Thanks for your reply. I did see that the website says there is a service issue however the details page seems to indicate only one issue from Jun. What we have seems to be a new issue as it has just happened in the last 12 hours or so - this is not mentioned
    on the service alert page.

    You need to contact xbox support and they will quickly reset your subscription. We are back up and running normally now.

    First, make sure you have gold on this page:
    https://account.microsoft.com/services/

    If so, please redownload your account like seen here:
    http://support.xbox.com/en-US/my-account/manage-gamertag-and-profile/add-remove-account-xbox-one

    If it still does not work it could be because of the service outage or please contact xbox support if they need to refresh your gold:
