Live Gold renewal "40% off" add on dashboard...doesn't do anything?

So, i logged in last night and saw on my dashboard a big add for 40% off Gold renewal...but it is non-interactable...and everywhere else i can find prices for Gold renewals it is the regular $60. Unless it went up drastically since the last time i looked
at it. Anyone else notice this?

Also, why is this forum website so ghastly slow and non-functional. Simply put, this is the first time i have waited long enough for it to load enough to even see the subsections of the any of the forums. Anyone else have this problem?

Good advice. I got a great deal for gold last renewal too. It showed up on my dashboard and even though I usually ignore everything on it, I just happened to see it.

 

Gold Membership Codes

I haven't seen any of those coupon offers that you mentioned, however I do see coupons advertised on the Xbox Live dashboard all the time for a certain percentage off when you renew your membership. I think the best offer I've seen yet is for half off, if you renewed your membership that day.

 

I got Xbox Live Gold for 14.99 (which I presume is 40% off) a few days ago through the same thing.

Also, I don't have many issues with the forums.

 

same problem here, and when you navigate to purchase the membership it shows the $59.99 price, does anyone know if the discount shows up when you make the purchase ?

 

I wonder if this has something to do with accounts that were previously under the 'family' plan?

I'd love to get the 40% discount on something i'm likely going to use if i can...but atm, the system simply wont let me.

 

Usually these types of deals only show up if I am silver member.
