Live Gold Code automatically updated to Ultimate

I have a few days left on Ultimate. I bought a 12 Month Live Gold code. After I input the code Xbox automatically upgraded it to Ultimate giving me only 4 months access.

I don't want Ultimate. I want 12 months of Live Gold. This can't be reverted back to Gold either. I am annoyed about this as I feel Microsoft have ripped me off for 8 months of Gold as I am not interested in Ulimate.

I got a call back off Microsoft but the waiting time is over 100 minutes. I have not got that kind of time.

I would be grateful if anybody has any ideas on this.

You can add the Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass code then upgrade to Ultimate. The Ultimate will automatically be extended by the amount of months of the Xbox Live Gold plus the amount of months of the Game Pass code.

I think it is a flawed system. It should at the least prompt me and ask If I want to convert my Live Gold to Ultimate but it just did it automatically, by doing so give me a service I do not want and as a result reducing my Live Gold service time.

I'll attempt to conact Microsoft tomorrow at a quiter ime.

It does warn you and it also told you when you signed up for Ultimate. In our society we tend to just click next to continue, but when it comes to stuff with money it's always best to read.

I'm sorry to hear about the issues that you're having with your Xbox Live Gold subscription / Ultimate Game Pass.

Unfortunately we here in the forums department do not have the tools to make those adjustments to your subscriptions.

Your best bet right now is to wait for that call back from Xbox Customer Support. The agent will be able to look into your account help make the necessary adjustments.

Step 1 ----Select Xbox One

Step 2 ----Select See other options

Step 3 ----Select topic (Ex. System Update)

Step 4 ----Select "Show contact options"

If I no longer want Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, can I go back to Xbox Game Pass for Console or Xbox Live Gold?

You can cancel Xbox Game Pass Ultimate by signing to your account, and sign up again for Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass for Console.

I'm pretty sure it does warn you when you enter the prepaid card. I entered a 3 month game pass code recently and it stated it would be convert to Ultimate if I proceeded.
