Live Connection Issues?? - Unable to access most of various live services Virgin Media UK

Over the past few weeks I have been plagued with sign in issues on my Xbox one. I am on Virgin Media in the UK, using a superhub2 in modem mode and a Netgear Nighthawk Router, My Xbox is assigned a static IP and is in the routers DMZ, It is also set to power
saving mode and is hard switched off at the wall every night. It boots up and i am faced with the window that says there is a problem with your network connection and to run a test. I run a test and everything is fine. XBox reports the NAT is open I then try
and sign in and I get error messages that i cannot currently sign in and to try again later or log in at Microsoft account. (this works fine!). Eventually after a few attempts I can sign in. However hardly anything works as it should e.g.

1) Friends list does not load (We are unable to show your friends at the moment)

2) Activity feed will not show (See above message)

3) Hit and miss that any store content will load.

4) Constant error messages when game saves sync with the cloud. I have to repeatedly try again until it syncs.

5) 99% of the time I fail to get a multiplayer game to work. (Battlefield 4 reports that I must purchase XBox Live to play multi player or i am not connected to EA Servers)

6) Games not starting - We are sorry Battlefield (Disc) is unable to start or has taken too long to start, Watchdogs (Digital) have you purchased this game? then it takes me to store (if it wants to or crashes out to dashboard)

All this screams NAT issues but the test says Open and I have no issues with PS4, 360, PS3 or Wii U or any other device connected to same router. I have done a factory reset, hard reset and nothing seems to fix it.

Anyone had similar problems or is this just normal.

After taking the console to my brothers who is on Be (Adsl 2 )and then to my cousins who is on Plus.net (Fibre) everything works fine, I even went as far as taking my router and all the cat 6 to both houses to check that.

I have my SH2 in modem mode connecting to a net gear black hawk, it makes no difference if the xbox is connected to superhub2 in directly in router mode or modem mode.

The next step is to ring customer service but I am highly doubtful I will get anywhere based on previous experience

Xbox detects internet connection but cannot connect to LIVE

cut off mid game, router or isp blocking access to xbox live. best not be hackers... england, uk virgin media

If you have Virgin Media as your internet service provider then that would be why you can't connect to LIVE currently. There's a current service status for a subset of LIVE users that have Virgin Media as an ISP. Please keep an eye out on your regions XBOX

No - but if you can´t connect it´s a Problem with outbound connection - so no Port Forwarding or DMZ will help.

It´s possible that your Router cache something?

I would try to give your xbox other DNS Servers:

In Network Settings you can give:

Open DNS:

208.67.222.222

208.67.220.220

Cloud Delivered Enterprise Security by OpenDNS

Then Restart your xbox. Does it help?

 

@DJ Mikey....i had the same exact issue myself. (forums.xbox.com/.../1833887.aspx). Unfortunately for me i have no fix with the Netgear R7000.
I tried an older Netgear router i have and everything works fine. I tried everything on my Nighthawk from port forwarding to DMZ to static DNS routes. I tried almost every config combination i could think of. Wired and wireless both gave me the same behavior.
