    Live Connection Issue with 360 & Netflix


    I have searched every where for a solution to this specific issue. I am only losing connection with xbox live when running the netflix app. This is a new problem within my location. Facts about my internet set up:

    Console: Xbox 360

    Internet Provider: Comcast

    Router: Belkin N600 DB Wireless N+ Router Model: F9K1102v1

    Modem: Netgear Cable Modem Model: CMD31T

    Wifi Extender: Cisco Class B Model: RE1000 (used this for a bit but does not improve how many times I am disconnecting. Even though it "improved" the amount of signal I was receiving.)

    My 360 does not have internal wifi. I have been using the xbox wifi adapter. The router is not close enough to my xbox to directly plug into. I would need 50' feet of ethernet cable and run it through different rooms to do so.

    Things I have tried:

    Deleting my profile and downloading it.

    Clearing the cache

    Deleting the Netflix app and downloading it.

    Using a different profile with the same netflix account.

    Using a different Netflix account.

    Rebooting both the xbox 360 and the router.

    I am not sure what else to do? I was using my own router/modem combination before my move. Could this effect the way my xbox is connecting to the new router? Obviously there are a number of things that could be affecting this issue. I will answer questions
    and do what ever I need to do to get this problem solved. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Netflix disconnecting from Live

    Within the past week, Netflix will disconnect from live on my 360. It is getting progressively more frequent. I have deleted and reinstalled netflix to no avail. Netflix does work fine on my computer and phone using the same internet connection. It might
    be a netflix problem but since the only issue is with the 360 I am posting here first.

    Hello IRideUnicorns69,

    If your Xbox is getting completely disconnected from Live, it may be an issue with your router. Does this only happen with Netflix or does it happen in games as well? If it's only with Netflix, then it's probably got something to do with that app. If it
    happens universally, then it's probably an issue with your connection from your 360 to your internet.

    Hope this helps a bit to pinpoint the cause of your issue!

    Constantly Disconnected

    I am now having the same issue. I am able to connect to the internet and all streaming services fine on other machines in the house. Xbox Live connects for a short period of time and then disconnects and stays disconnected until I run the connection test
    and it says everything is fine and connects again without issue but after 5 minutes of say Netflix the Xbox Live disconnects. Again this is only happening on the Xbox 360 and I am not having connection issues on any other machines.

    You need to have an XBOX Live Gold Membership in order to be able to use Netflix on the XBOX 360. It's how it is, there's no way around it and it's how it's setup. There's no issue regarding this, it's either you want the bundled services that come with

    Achievements not unlocking for Backwards Compatibility Games

    Factory reset is done, now I cannot sign in to Xbox Live from the 360 emulator. I am online with the Xbox 1, playing multiplayer and watching netflix, connection test shows that everything is working.
