If your payment option doesn't have money on it how long do you have to catch up the balance before there's issues?

As far as "billing" I take my questions to phone support. If you are in the US the number is 1-800-4MY-XBOX. They have the tools to look into your account if any other questions come up. If anything else comes up feel free to ask.

I have the same problem as you. Did you find out why?

It's quicker to go to http://xbox.com - sign in there - then go to http://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us?xr=footnav#0:2:1
and select Request A Call so the very next agent will call you back. You go to the head of the line, and don't have to listen to their 'mostly harmless' music on hold. If you are not in the US then replace the red US above with your country code.
