Live account suspended, no idea why!

My account received a 7 day suspension. I have no idea what i said that warranted suspension, so i did the case review. They just said the ban was upheld, but still did not tell me what i did wrong? How am i supposed to "learn from my mistakes" if i
dont know what my mistake was? So frustrating!

They never reveal the communication, as it could lead to reprisals. All you can do is refresh your knowledge of the code of conduct.

They should have at least told you the general reason as well. It is likely an issue via communication. All I can suggest going forward is remaining civil on Xbox Live and not reacting in an offensive way to others. If people are offensive to you, you
can report and block them on their profile.

 

Thanks, thats what i was hoping for withthe case review, but all they said was something about " sexually explicit" language, which is completely offbase. I truly have no idea whay i cocould have said that wS deemed sexually explicit

When XBLPET issues an
enforcement action, an email
message is automatically sent to the address associated with your Xbox Live account. If you are using a child account, an email is also sent to the Microsoft Account associated with your parent or guardian. Each
email message explains that the account was subject to enforcement action and links to pages that provide additional information.

Try to reach out to them through the email they send out and check to see if they respond that way. However, do
not abuse or threaten Microsoft employees or post profane, bigoted, or otherwise provocative content when requesting information from them; that behavior will not be tolerated. As with all Xbox Live activities, the guidelines outlined within
the Code of Conduct still apply. Especially egregious violations may result in additional Xbox Live enforcement action.

Why is something they will never say why...it can ne something you did a while back that got into their attention now most bans dont happen on the spot they take some time to get to you...hope that helps!!

 

If you go to
https://enforcement.xbox.com and sign in with your suspended gamertag, it will list your suspensions, with a general description of the category your suspension falls under (e.g. communications, cheating etc.)

The categorization is kept general on purpose for several reasons:

First it should prevent you from enacting revenge on someone who reported you. If they tell you which message was reported, and which part caused the suspension, you could think "Oh, that was the message I sent to John Doe. And he got me suspended that little
[expletive]. Wait until I meet him at school tomorrow, and I'll teach him to report me".

So to keep the privacy of the person who reported you, they don't disclose the exact message.

Also, in order to prevent you from "testing the limits", you might try to send several messages, that cause you to get suspended or not. So you might think "Ok, I was calling that person an [expletive] that got me banned, but by using [a different expletive]
I didn't get banned. So I can call people [a different expletive] and won't get banned. MWAaaahahAHAHAHAHA!"

Also keep in mind, that the Enforcement Team gets thousands of reports each day, which are put into a reporting queue. It might take some days for your report to be looked at by a real human being, then they have to check the validity of the report and review
the evidence the console's send in with the report.

So the actual suspension could be for something you did days, weeks or even months ago.

 

don't worry I get the same issue as soon as I talk I get a negative response then Im instantly Suspended on my Communication for what ever reason this player had to cry to Xbox Live and Lie probably saying that I was threatening him which I never use my

I keep my Xbox communications set to friends only so I don't get any unwanted communication that can lead to uncivil code of conduct. Just an idea for the future.
