Live account on multiple Xbox Ones

I have two Xbox ones. My kids fight over which one can use the one with LIve on it. The issue is that I am trying to download saved data from one onto the other so both can play at the same time (different games) The info I find says to upload it to the
cloud. That isn't working. Do I have to have two seperate Live accounts? Can they sign in on both with saved games?

The XBox One console, how it handles xbox live profiles and how those profiles and moved to other xbox one consoles is very different than the xbox 360.

It may help to spend some time
here, and then go into
support articles specific to any questions you may have after reading.

In short, you cannot put a profile on a jump drive, etc. (it requires them to be downloaded to each console using the internet only)

You also need to think about digital vs. disc purchases based on what meets your needs. (I don't want to input my preferences onto your family)

Multiple Xbox Ones

You can use Xbox lives home settings to share your accounts and gold privledges between family members. A Google or YouTube search can show you how to set this up. It allows any accounts associated with the main account access to the gold service of live
as well as access to games purchased. Its a pretty good system for 2 consoles or less.

To do this here is how it works, you have your Xbox One (A) defined as your Home Xbox with your account owner of a Gold subscription, now just connect with your account on the second Xbox One (B)

and define it as your Home Xbox and that's it.

The support page seems to say the opposite! - you can't assign 2 xboxs as Home...

 

Right, once the B console will be the Home Xbox, the A one will no longer be designated as Home Xbox, so one console at a time can be designate as the Home Xbox.
