little concerned re security ...

So my Xbox One updated itself yesterday. Everything is good for the most part. However, I noticed that when I went to use the Edge browser, instead of requiring me to log-in to my Hotmail account, it automatically made it available like when I log into my
laptop. I like this feature ... on my laptop. However I'm not sure I'm fond of it on my Xbox which is slightly more "public" so to speak and would allow someone to essentially access my OneDrive and email if I forgot to log-out. I've currently set the security
to "lock it down" and made a passkey ... but is this the only option? Before the Xbox would only log into my Xbox live account ... not my full
Outlook.com account ... From a security perspective this seems like a bit of a flaw as I know others where the Xbox is a shared device ... Is there any way to
force a security challenge? Just wondering what the options are. Thanks.

You only lose some xp points for the online portion, or the notoriety points. You don't lose points towards your next skill point. But, it's not that big a deal, really, unless you're really trying to get all the online skills.

Yes, they can enter your game to try and hack you, but they don't specifically target you. You can do the same, and it's actually kinda fun. You can either tail them or try to hack them. In tailing, you simply follow them and try not to get spotted. With
hacking, you have to make a connection and then initiate the hack. That will open up a spot on the map that you must stay in while the other player looks for you. If someone is hacking you, you have to look for them.

The thing is, if someone successfully hacks or tails you, you don't lose anything. The game just goes on like nothing happened. So, there's no need to be overly concerned about it.

 

The Xbox One has several options for sign-in that adopt different security measures, including facial recognition when you stand in front of the Kinect.

My suggestion would be for you to use a different method to sign in with your profile, instead of the auto sign in.

Open Settings.

Select the Sign-in, security & passkey option (on the far left side, below the About me item).

Make the changes you want to be reflected in your sign in.
