Literally suspended for defending myself. Out of hand.

I have been an xbox live member since it came around. Avid XBOX supporter and I spend a great deal of money on games.

I also rarely play socially. Never chat to strangers, usually dont respond to messages. Tonight I was trolled by a guy....he taunted me half way through game. I proceeded to almost beat him when he resulted to known exploits. Then trolled me again. I responded
that he played like a "B&*%H" and blocked him. A few minutes later I get a notice I am suspended. How is this even possible? Look at my history support. This is entirely out of hand how I get punished for blocking someone being disruptive. There has got to
be a better way than this. I dont create problems and I report those that do when needed. I have been a member of the community teams that monitor improper user names and content. Why are we pandering to people who create the problem by punishing those that
sick back and wait until they cant take it anymore.

These kids whine and complain when things dont go their way, brag about how they got all their friends to gang up on someone to get them suspended...it happens all the time. In this instance yeah I should not have responded but trust me....I have received
MUCH worse than this and if it was not for the person creating the issue in the first place I would have never been put in this position. Out of hand...unfair....and needs looked at based on user history, length of service, etc.

I was on the division and I had this random guy that was trolling and blocking me, getting me killed. He was saying some hateful things thought his mic. So I said stop, this enraged him and he carried on. As soon the game was over, I removed him from my
group after he got his loot. I've came back after going out for 25mins to find I've been suspended.

 

It doesn't matter how a situation starts, if you respond in a way that violates the code of conduct (which you did) you can be punished. This is per the code of conduct you agreed to. In the future, it's best to just report the other person and block communication
with them instead of responding.

 

A few minutes later? Your suspension wasn't for this violation of CoC. It takes days for Enforcement to actively begin a suspension - the system is not automated.

You don't need to 'defend' yourself', at least not with messages that also violate the CoC. All you need to do is block them - no response is required.

Also, it is not possible for users to gang up to get another person suspended.
