listening to music while gaming

Now i know this is for the other console but the point is why cant xbox one play music while gaming

I found that once I bought a good headset for the 360 I never once played music while gaming. Now I am always listening to music on my phone while playing. I think this could have something to do with people missing the feature

Meh, I'd rather go to my radio station's website on my laptop and just listen to the music from there WHILST I'm gaming, instead of sitting on the App listening to it.

 

It does suck not to be able to blast some tunes whilst playing FH2. Luckily hospital radion has some good tunes!!

I would imagine a similar app will come to XO soon

 

to me i would love to play my OWN music not a app that i have to pay 9.99 a month for

 

I don't get why you all want to play music through your tv. Use a separate radio/iPod dock like I do and would sound better

 

thats what i do i stream music from my phone to sound bar but i do like the ease of it saved to my hdd and just done in game

 

Because it's so much more convenient to have it all on your X1. I used the feature constantly on the original Xbox and 360. God knows why they didn't carry the feature over.

 

I just play the stereo I already have had for years or lately, I play iHeartradio through my computer to my stereo and still play full screen. I thought you could just snap the Vevo app and play music that way but I'd rather just play full screen and have
my stereo do the rest.

 

I really wish Spotify was coming to the Xbox One, I'm a long time subscriber, and it's much better than Pandora.

The fact that the music app has to be snapped while playing is an inconvenience too, it takes up part of my screen, so I don't even use it.

This is really the only flaw i've encountered with the Xbox One.

 

hey.... i have been a user of xbox since the original and i always enjoy to place some tunes in my xbox while playing,it was awesome in my 360 and even in the original you were able to do it in some games as well, and even that its seems reasonable that
you can play your music in another device,if you have conected your x1 by an optical cable to a 5.1 dolby speaker system and try to use any other awful pair of speakers to play others things it sucks hahhahaha... so while playing its just convinient to play
music at the same time in the same system without affecting the size of the screen. maybe is not to dificult to hide the music app like a window on your pc (well i dont really kwow i dont kwow crap about programing) and would be awesome... it just be another
thing that doesnt seems to be important but if it is fixed will be really apreciated p.s. sorry about my english i will place the same comment on spanish as well and will be a little better.

 

hola he sido un usuario de xbox desde el original y siempre me a gustado escuchar música mientras juego, era genial en mi 360 he incluso en mi xbox original se podía con algunos juegos, y aunque entiendo que es lógico pensar que se puede usar otro dispositivo
para escuchar música mientras juegas, si como yo tienes un sistema de altavoces envolvente conectado a tu nuevo x1 no es muy lógico poner otro dispositivo en otras bocinas que no suenan también como las otras, aparte de que quitar una parte de tu pantalla
para poder ver una aplicación que no quieres ver en ese momento y que estorba mientras juegas no tiene mucha lógica tampoco , creo que es posible minimizar o esconder la aplicación de música como una ventana en la pc o como era en la 360 que estaba en un submenu
(no se que tan fácil sea no soy programador) y con eso arreglarían un problema que aunque no parezca tan importante seria muy bien recibido.

I too think it would be nice just to stream some music the the console while playing without having to take up any screen real estate. Happy Gaming!
