List of controller defects/problems.

After going through about (im not kidding) 60-70 controllers here is a list of what problems I have noticed. Youre welcome microsoft. Lets work together to get these issues fixed so everyone can enjoy what xbox has to offer, if you have any other issues
you have noticed but are not on the list, feel free to comment them. Thanks!

-Uneven panels

-Panels coming off

-Sharp edges where the panels meet

-"Start" and "Select button needs to be pushed hard to get it to register

-Friction in the triggers

-Face panel of controller moving position

-A,B,X,Y buttons making loud clicking noise

-A,B,X,Y buttons sticking

-Loose bumpers

-bumpers not clicking/registering

-"X" middle button not register/has dead spots

-Thumb sticks altering position/making clicking noise/not anchored to controller

Xbone controller DOA cheap and nasty junk!

Customer service told me that there are no defects with the controller but my two controllers are having problems too.

 

Defect controller

You won't. You just get an address and reference number to put on the outside of the package. You'll need to pay for shipping. Make sure you use a shipping method with a tracking number.

Mind if I ask how you've gone through 60-70 controllers in a year and a half?

On another post you mentioned that you have sent back 5 controllers. So how did the number jump up so much?

 

Its 15 months that works out at around 1 controller per week, I agree the controller isn't the best but to find fixes and help get this controller up to scratch a bit off honesty helps.

 

Well I have sent my day one controller off about 5-7 times, and each time I got sent back a crappy controller. But I have bought a regular black controller from gamestop and wal mart, and had to return all them because of various issues.

 

Well Krazy Crayon none of my friends or myself have not had these issues so I can't speak from personal experience. I would suggest continuing to let Microsoft know so that they can improve the controllers to your liking. Here is a link to their feedback

If you have gone through that many controllers I would suggest trying new retailers, as they may be selling ones that are not in good condition. But I would also suggest examine your own use of the controller. I haven't heard about anyone experiencing this
many issues, so there may be a degree of user issues as well.

 

After the Feb 2015 update many of my friends & myself started having the same issue where our controller can not reconnect to the xbox one after changing batteries, connecting the USB cable, walking more than 30ft from the xbox one, or sometimes it just
looses connection for no reason. No fixes on the xbox support page work. Only thing that seems to fix the issue is to keep turning off the xbox one off & on over & over (Could take 5 tries could take 100) none of us had this problem till the next time we turned
on our xbox one after we updated in February 2015. It has been weeks now & I dont even know if xbox is working on a fix or cares to fix the problem. Just wondering if anyone out there is having the same issue. It cant be local cause my friends & I live in
4 different states. None of us had the older issues that the Feb update was meant to fix. But after the February controller update almost all of us have the problem. Just like how we had no xbox one Connect issues till a update that was suppose to fix problems
some had. After that update, again almost all of us had problems with our Connects.

 

I too have had this issue, where the controller disconnects. I have brought the issues I stated above to MS support and the disconnection issue, but they blow it all off, saying it seems to be an isolated event. Also soccerp1lay3r, How would it be user error
when I examine the controllers out of the box? The controller quality is garbage, and a step back from last gen controllers.

I simply bring it up as one possible explanation. There have been plenty examples of people having issues with their controller, however you are the only person that has posted on the forum having so many issues (60-70 according to you). That is what leads
me to bring up user error/abuse.

 

Well i take care of my controllers. I dont know if youre just trying to save the already sinking ship but I have many friends experiencing the same issues.

 

I have no other suggestions for you, so I will stop posting. Hopefully someone else can figure something out and help you solve your issue.

 

So is no one from microsoft gonna acknowledge that there are defects in the controller design?
