Lisence Transfer question

A lisence transfer only transfers you console lisences for content from one console to another.

It cannot be used to transfer content from one profile to another.

Like CISphil said, you will need to use the profile that originally purchased the content to continute using the add-ons.

Note the sarcasm. The TOU says it, The Code of Conduct says it, The UK copyright Law says it, or Section 109 of the US Law, which ever Area you hail from.

But how many people already game sharing, would that alienate, and completely Pee Off. I would say quite a few.

I will state once again for the record, for The OP, of which this Topic was First started. If you want to be 100% safe, in the future, Ensure that you and your brother are living in the same home, If not, You could end up losing your data, and original purchases.

It was just some prudent advice. If 2 actual Xbox Ambassadors want to give such advice, when game sharing with someone, not of your home, that is their decision. But it is essentially Copyright theft

If a publisher (Big or Small) was to take Microsoft to court because said system was impacting on their revenue, and the Judge found in favour, which they almost certainly would. I don't suppose you would feel guilty for all the people you ever told to Game
share, But that's cool. It's only their money

Rippen, you are missing the point.

It is called HOME sharing. Being that you are sharing the game in your home. Not 45 miles away, not 10 miles away, not even 1 mile away.

Microsoft could ban anyone who GAME shares, whenever they want to. They only have to check the IP addresses of anyone who logs in, when they do, especially if they are playing the same game from two different areas.

The only reason they probably are not banning or removing the system, (Like Sony are!). Is because they don't want to upset the apple cart when it comes to selling their console. They could enforce the policy any time they wanted. But could you imagine the
outcry that would ensue from them blocking the accounts of anyone who shares games.

How many customers do you think they would lose. As it stands, currently. It is a plus you can do it. But don't be surprised when they enforce it

So Long as you are both in the same household.

Game sharing outside of one house, could lead to a ban.
