How much liquid came out? If it's more than a drop, then someone spilled the liquid into the console.

If the spilled liquid is about the size of a small fingernail, then a capacitor might have blown and spilled it's liquid around.

Either way: disconnect your console from the power outlet, and sign it up for a repair at
    https://devicesupport.microsoft.com

If it's a blown capacitor, and the console is still within warranty, the repair will be free.

If it's damage caused by spilled liquid, you probably have to pay for the repair as damages caused by liquid are not covered by the warranty.

Some of the people replying have not read your description.. Fingernail polish is different from other liquids because it will harden. Nail polish is typically non-conductive so if it got inside your Xbox, it should not short anything once it is dried up,
unlike water for example. My best advice would be to make sure it is completely dry before powering it back on, if it got inside the Xbox. If it doesn't work properly, there is probably nothing that you would be able to do since the polish would be hardened
onto the components at that point...

This is all just my best guess, so I could be wrong about any of it. Best of luck.

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are inquiring about servicing your console after it suffering liquid damage.

Under normal circumstances, liquid damage is not covered for a console, however, if you purchased

    Microsoft Complete
at the time of your console purchase or within 45 days of console purchase, your device would be coverd
against accidents and mechanical or electrical breakdowns for up to three years.

Matt, If you did not get this, then you would be unable to create a Service order thorugh the the Service center.

I'm sorry about any confusion or turmoil this might have caused.

I've never had this happen, I'm super careful with mine. It all depends on if any of the nail polish got in the Xbox or not, If it didn't, there shouldn't be any problem, but if it did, then that could cause issues, or if it got in any of the ports on
    the device.
