i just contacted xbox and they told me 'the only option is to return your xbox'... wow. I deleted the BR app and re-installed. The syncing is better, but still not how it should be. Anyone found any of their own fixes?

    :)

    4K?

The Xbox One is a terrible Blu-Ray player, Lip Sync issues and disc skipping. So much for the all in One device.

Make sure the colour depth is set to 24 rather then 36, this seems to help a lot. And conect direct to tv rather then via a reciever

I've read that it is a problem with some bluray discs, and not always with the console or AVR. For example, when my son watches Monsters University on the PS3, the audio and video is out of sync. To get it right, I switch the audio on the PS3 to just dolby
digital and not DTS. Once that is done, it works fine. I haven't tried this on my xbox one, but might soon. I found this out by searching Monsters University audio sync and found the problem wasn't with the console. I hope this helps.

Color depth is how many bits there are for each pixel. The more bits, the more colors it is possible to make. 24 bit is the standard and is what all commercially available sources use, currently. So there isn't any need to set it higher than 24 bit.

Im getting this lip sync issue with the TV app aswell as netflix and blu-ray, basically the hard reset (hold power button for 5+ seconds) fixes this temporarily. im guessing its an out of memory issue thing...

I'm still experiencing audio volume and lip sync issues. When watching blu-ray I have to turn up my receiver about 10db for it to be around the same volume as games and TV. Netflix volume is lower than TV and games, but only a couple db. I've tried various
volume configurations and can't seem to get it under control. For lip sync, today it was with Delivery Man and got really bad around 1:15 into the movie. I reseated the power cord and was OK after. However, I have experienced the problem after reseating
the power cord, coming out of standby with instant-on enabled, and while switching between Blu-ray and other apps such as TV, games, or Netflix. It seems to happen more often with the combination of instant-on and switching apps.

I don't have these problems with games, Netflix, or local video streaming on my PS3.

Lip sync is atrocious on Xbox One. Movie playback is the most basic function of this living room all-in-one, and it's incredibly inept at it. Movies that start in sync don't always finish that way. Movies that were terrible one day are fine the next.
I've done one thing and that's re-install the blu ray app and it didn't do jack for me. Aside from that, I shouldn't have to try a dozen different settings to see what works best, we're not talking about a limited feature that only certain setups will utilize.
It's lip sync, for crying out loud. I have no sound system, no receiver, no nothing, just HDMI right to the TV. Blu ray, DVD, it makes no difference. We're not early adopters, we're guinea pigs.

I've got the same problem. On the few discs I've tried, switching hdmi audio from 5.1 to stereo works. Fine for my kid's cartoon movies but not for blockbusters. If a $100 blue ray machine can handle it, why can't X1?

29 pages of complaints and no response from MS? Class action lawsuit anyone?

  15. Does anyone who works for Xbox One actually read any of this? I tried watching a DVD on the Xbox last night and I had to switch back to my normal DVD playing to actually get the lip sync problem sorted. I've had a lot of issues with this system, from having
to hard reset more often than not, and now this lip syncing problem. This things cost a hugs amount of money which when bought, the buyer has really got to be committed to it. This issues should have been sorted before the system was ever released on the shelves.
Please sort it Xbox. I've been an Xbox user since day one and much rather slit my throat than have to go to the PS society but with all these problems, it looks like I'll be going that way pretty soon.
