    Lip Sync in DVD player


    I bought an Xbox on 18th November 2015. I have had an issue with it playing DVDs where the audio is out of sync and its always done this,
    however has I very rarely use it as a dvd player I did forget about the issue. I contacted Microsoft Support yesterday and the tell me that the think the console is faulty and I should have it repaired, however they say that the console is out of warranty
    and want to charge £110 which I think is unfair. Is there anything that can be done?

    Microsoft went through several settings and even did a reset which has now lost the digital game
    the Xbox came with and I don't don't how to get that game back.

    Blu-ray: Audio Delay?

    Last time i used a bluray lip sync was fine. Im quite sensitive to lip sync and can usually notice if its off.

    The lip sync was off in the last DVD i tried though

    Just to follow up: I finished a Blu-ray (Fast Five) and the audio never seemed to go out of sync, so I don't know if my problem only exists on DVDs, or if it was a fluke that the Blu-ray worked all the way through. I'll keep this updated as I watch more
    stuff on the machine.

    Have you tried swithing the picture on your TV? I was experiencing some motion blur on my tv, switched it to cinematic mode, and it was gone.

    Same issue here nordic, blu rays are fine, dvds get out of sync. I'm plugged directly in to the TV via HDMI, no receiver.

    I was going to get a Audio optical cable today , was going to connect that from the tv to the receiver . If i connect the xbox straight to the receiver using the optical cable how will i get sound for my Sky ?
