    LinkSys E3000 Internet Error

What Country/State/Province do you live in? US

Modem brand & model number: Motorola Surfboard (I think)

Router brand & model number: LinkSys E3000

If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal (Xbox 360S) adapter?: Internal

Things you have tried: Power-cycling three times, changing security type, wired, tried different router and connected fine.

    Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown: Yes

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type?: No

Any Error Codes you encounter: Just regular "Internet Error"

Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)?: Cox Communications

After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" press “Y” for "More Info”. In the pop-up that appears, what are the following values, if shown? (If a value below does not appear for you, just leave it blank.)

    W: 0000 - 0021

    X: 0000 - F001

    Y: 0000 - 0000

    Z: 0000 - 0000

    ID: FFFF - FFFF

    L: 8015 - 190E

    Q: 8007 - 0435

    T: Wireless

    D: 68.105.28.11, 68.105.29.11

    S: WPA2

    C: 1

Alright, so I got a 4GB 360-S from a friend who had not had problems with his connection (from what I was told) and when I tried connecting, I kept getting constant "Internet Error" each time I tried connecting. I've power-cycled both router and modem three
times with no success until I tried my other router that I haven't used in a very long time and it managed to connect to that just fine. I'm starting to think the router is refusing connection to that router despite connecting to the SSID perfectly.

Before anyone posts the "how to troubleshoot" stuff from the help pages, I've done all of them to no success.

If anyone has this problem and knows how to fix it, please let me know.

    :)

    Disconnected while playing online.

While the Linksys E3000 router is on the
    Xbox Live Compatible Hardware
list, make sure the Firmware version(s) match your device. Because often older firmwares don't support two consoles, and sometimes newer firmwares (for whatever crazy reason) suddenly don't support two consoles anymore.

So make sure your firmware is of the following version(s):

    E3000 Linksys E3000 High Performance Wireless-N Router 1.0.00

    E3000 Linksys E3000 High Performance Wireless-N Router 1.0.01.006

    E3000 Linksys E3000 High Performance Wireless-N Router 1.0.02.004

Also check if your broadband modem that connects your E3000 to the internet really is a "stupid" modem, and not a "smart" modem with NAT functions.

Linksys E3000 is not supported by Xbox live. You can see a list of Linksys routers supported by Xbox live:

    forums.xbox.com/.../default.aspx

You should try to get another router/modem.

It certainly looks as though the Linksys E3000 is supported by Xbox Live as it is in the list that you linked to.

@OP - here's a link to the info on that page to see if it can help you connect. Good luck.

Appreciate if you can provide us with the model number of your motorola surfboard. Also, detailing out any troubleshooting steps you've tried so far, so we don't post up solitions you've already tried.
