    Linksys (Routers): Bridging Guide/ Entering PPPoE
    Login Information

    • Gateway: 192.168.0.1
    • Username: leave blank
    • Password: admin
    Entering PPPoE

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the router by entering the default gateway (192.168.0.1) into the address bar of the internet browser.
    3. When prompted to login, leave the user name blank and type in “admin” for the password.
    4. Select "Setup" from the menu at the top.
    5. Select "Basic Setup" from the sub menu.
    6. Select "PPPoE" from the "Internet Connection Type" drop down menu.
    7. Enter the PPPoE User Name and Password provided by your internet service provider.
    8. Select the "Keep Alive" radio button.
    9. Select Save Settings.

    • Gateway: 192.168.1.1
    • Username: ubnt
    • Password: ubnt
    Entering PPPoE

    Note: Please make sure you have the PPPoE login information from your ISP before you begin this process.

    1. Connect a computer to the gateway with an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser on a computer.
    3. Type in the gateway address, 192.168.1.1 into the web address bar, hit enter.
    4. This will take you to a login page, type ubnt for both username and password.
    5. Once of the main page, select the Network tab.
    6. On the Network page, under the “WAN Network Settings” section, select PPPoE next to WAN IP Address.
    7. Enter in the PPPoE Username.
    8. Enter in the PPPoE Password. Verify the password is correct.
    9. Select Save/Apply to save the changes.


    Bridge mode:

    1. Connect a computer to the gateway with an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser on a computer.
    3. Type in the gateway address, 192.168.1.1 into the web address bar, hit enter.
    4. This will take you to a login page, type ubnt for both username and password.
    5. Once of the main page, select the Network tab.
    6. On the Network page, next to “Network Mode” Select Bridge.
    7. Select Save/Apply to save the changes.

    Entering PPPoE

    Note: You will need the have the PPPoE information beforehand. Contact your ISP if you need to collect this information.



    1. Connect a computer to the gateway with an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser on a computer.
    3. Type the gateway address: 192.168.1.1 into the web address bar, select
      apply.
    4. This will take you to a login page, type admin for the username and type
      1234 for the password.
    5. Once logged in Select Network.
    6. Select the WAN Configuration option.
    7. Select the PPPoE option.
    8. Enter the PPP Username.
    9. Enter the PPP Password.
    10. Enter the PPPoE Service Name.
    11. Check the Enable NAT box.
    12. Check the Enable Full cone NAT box.
    13. Check the Enable Firewall box.
    14. Select the Next button. Continue to follow the prompts to save changes.
    15. The device will reboot.
