Linking your XBOX account to continue playing doesn't appear anymore

Try linking your account with these options.

- From Game Bar

Press Windows logo key + G to open Game Bar.

Select Settings > Accounts.

- From the Xbox app

Select Profile & Settings in the top right corner (if you're already signed in, your gamerpic will appear) and choose Settings > Account.

- From Steam

Open Steam and start a game that supports Xbox account linking (for example, Gears 5).

Sign in to Xbox Network when prompted.

Select the account link option in the game menu.

When the Steam account linking overlay appears, select Yes, continue.

- From the app for mobile devices

Launch the Xbox mobile app on your device and select on the account gamer picture to display your profile.

Select Link social accounts.

If neither option works, unfortunately you will have to continue waiting.

If you are using the same console and it is set as home for the account with Game Pass Ultimate you should be able to both have access to the games. If it doesn't work try having the account with the subscription logged in in the background and the other
account should be able to play the games.

If he claimed a gamed for gold game it's linked to his account and not yours and since he doesn't have a subscription anymore that may be why it doesn't work.

You would have to first unlink the wrong account first and then link it to the desired one

Open www.epicgames.com.

Click on Sign-in in the top right corner and sign into your Epic Games account.

Hover over your display name and click Account.

Click on Connections and then select Accounts

Click on Connect for the account that you want to link to your Epic account.

Click on Link Account.

A pop-up window will appear. Sign-in to your console account and confirm you want to link your account.

Click Continue.

Your Epic Games account is now successfully linked to your console account.

Noteisconnecting your console account will reset your fortinte profile progression and purchases. (it should not be an issue since you just started playing on that account though)
