linking xbox live to ea account for son.

hi, i have made an account on ea for my son as he has the xbox game pass. trying to download a game on the pc it said to get the ea desktop app, so i did. Then when i press the install button on the xbox app, it is saying

' your xbox and ea accounts dont match - your xbox account is different than the one you are using on ea deaktop. exit desktop, then retry installing or launching an ea play game from the xbox app. - For additional help , visit help.ea.com'.

I have checked both accounts and neither are linked to any accounts. So not getting anywhere with it. Any help appreciated.

If you still have this issue, I recommend that you try checking EA support, you will be able to find all information from their side in order to fix this issue.

i just used an older ea game like burnout paradise to change the ea login, that broke the link on my sons older account. not sure if it can be done now but when you sign into an old ea game on xbox you have to also sign into and ea account and can change account within the game settings, sometimes that is.

I receive the same error 193 for Need for Speed Most Wanted with a twist. I have the primary account for my xbox family plan but share an xbox with one of my two sons who are both on the family plan. My one son, running on his own xbox is working fine.
My second sone that shares my xbox is also working fine but I get the error code 193. My second son has been using my xbox since xmas just fine but I just started playing yesterday but receive the error code 193 so I can't play online.

I have spent 2 hours with EA games support and they still haven't been able to explain nor fix the issue. I too spent money for additional online passes and still can't play online so now I have wasted both time and wasted on this stupid EA game I used
to love.

EA support is telling me I require a persona transfer since my ea.com/origin.com account is not showing it as being linked to any accounts. Since I activated my EA online pass it should show as being linked to my Xbox Live account but is isn't. They want
to transfer my EA.com persona to link it to my xbox live gamertag. My fear is that they will fix me and break my son that shares my xbox. I think Stoned1999 is correct and that EA has a problem with xbox family center accounts shared on a single Xbox.

My case is still open with EA.

I'm having the exact same issue with NHL 19. My son and I share the same Live account across two Xbox's. We have no issues playing multiplayer on Red Dead 2, Monster Hunter World, etc. The issue appears to be with EA. The following was on their site:

"If it’s a sub-account that shares Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus, you won’t be able to connect it to your EA Account to play online."

So basically is your EA account/email is under your sons xbox profile?

Or does your son have his own EA account?
