linking up xbox game tag to EA account

i’ve been trying to link up my xbox gamertag to my EA account but every time i try, it prompts me to change my password (which i’ve done several times) but to no avail. i recently changed my gamertag after not using xbox for several years. EA support tells me this is the issue and that i need to change my password for that gamertag but i can’t recall that email since it was several years ago. is there anyway around this? this is quite frustrating as i can effectively play any EA titles without logging into and EA account. really appreciate any insight!

not sure if it does it to the new one. ok going to try logging in on a different device where my ea login isn’t saved on the device. see if that does anything.

i do. but it keeps say that i need to change my password. which i’ve done a millions times. but it still won’t allow me in. and ea support says it’s because i changed my gamertag.

Which account are you unable to change the password or don't remember the email?

my previous gamertag was Henzelberg42. but i’m not sure why i wouldn’t changed my email as well on the account. it’s my main one that i use for everything.

That's odd. I even unlinked my Xbox account from one EA account to link to another and it worked fine.

Does clicking ''reset password'' take you to a page to change the EA account password?

Does this happen with the new EA account you created?
