Linking sons fortnite account

So my son plays fortnite using my gold account as a family member, i managed to link a epic account to the xbox but it linked my fortnite account ( which i dont actually use ) .

How do i link his gamertag / profile ? Won't it just keep linking mine as its my gold account?

I've deleted my epic account and now need to create a new one with his .

It depends, because Epic Games doesn't allow you to play the same Fortnite account at the same time. It will remove the other Fortnite Game session from Gameplay. If you're trying to play Fortnite with your own account, you'd need to unlink the Xbox account from, in your current situation, your son, and then you'd need to make a new Xbox Account for your Son, and link the new Xbox Account to his Epic Games Account. You will, however not be able to see your son's Fortnite Game progress, since you've transferred it to a new Xbox account. I'd recommend you to follow up with Xbox Support and Epic Games.

You can link your Microsoft account in to a group with your son's by making a
Microsoft Family. You can download Fortnite Battle Royale on your laptop by going to
the link on step 4
(below). If you would like to play with your son, you have to :

Create an Epic Games Account.
Link your account to an Xbox/Microsoft account (not your son's, your own).
Your son would have to do the same.
Download Fortnite.
Launch the game.
Add each other as friends on the game.
Squad up & have fun!

Thanks for reaching out to us! When it comes to linking your Xbox Account (GamerTag) to your Fortnite account (Epic Games account), each GamerTag/profile can only link to one Fortnite account. If you are able to sign into Fortnite on your device with your
son's Xbox account and his Epic account and view his progress then that is normal. However, if you'd like to sign into your Xbox account on Fortnite, it would need to correspond with the Epic games account associated with your GamerTag.

If your own GamerTag (Xbox profile) is not linking up with your Epic Games account, then you would need to

contact Epic Games concerning your Fortnite account directly for assistance in getting those two accounts to link. Just be sure you know the different account log in emails for their site specific to each of you.
