Linking Existing Console to New Phone

When setting up my parent's console I set it up using my phone so I could get it done quicker. I unlinked my phone from the console but when I try to link it to my parents it asks to sign in to the console, but they're already signed into the console, it's just not recognizing it. In fact, the same thing happens when I try mine again.

Like they probably don't need remote play but I'm sure they'll want it set up to their phones or something.

Any ideas on how to set this up?

On your parents' phone log the same account into the Xbox app they use on the console. Then click on the console icon in the upper-right corner of the Xbox app and click on set up an existing console. It will automatically recognize the account that is logged into the app and a screen will appear on your TV to confirm the remote features, just follow the steps and you're done.

I've tried these steps but the Xbox app wasn't recognizing that the account was signed into the xbox. I'll have to try again in the morning since they pack it in early.

I see. Before trying again later, follow these steps.

Clean your console's MAC, restart your internet devices and try again.

To clean the MAC follow this path
Settings>general>network settings>advanced settings>alternative MAC address and click clear and restart the console when prompted.

Meanwhile, try restarting your PC to see if the Phone Link panel appears after that.

Remember, the licence transfer will move all your existing stuff so it's linked to his console.

When you download new stuff it will be linked to the console you first download it onto. So if you both want to play new downloads, use your account on his xbox when you first download, then re-download on your console.

As above, the DLC is linked to one console AND one xbox live login.
