Linking Epic and and family gamertags.

don't even really know how to ask this question. But here goes. I am the primary account on the xbox one. I have 3 other kid accounts under xbox family. My son plays under his own gamertag on the xbox.
However, we are having difficulty adding friends that only play on PC. My son does not have an epic account and I do not know how to tie his gamertag to an epic account. Is it possible to make an epic account and tie it to a secondary gamertag. Keep in mind
this is a "family member" account on the epic. He does not pay seperatly for xbox live services. I don't even know if this makes any sense but any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for reaching out to us! When it comes to linking your Xbox Account (GamerTag) to your Fortnite account (Epic Games account), each GamerTag/profile can only link to one Fortnite account. If you are able to sign into Fortnite on your device with your
son's Xbox account and his Epic account and view his progress then that is normal. However, if you'd like to sign into your Xbox account on Fortnite, it would need to correspond with the Epic games account associated with your GamerTag.

If your own GamerTag (Xbox profile) is not linking up with your Epic Games account, then you would need to

contact Epic Games concerning your Fortnite account directly for assistance in getting those two accounts to link. Just be sure you know the different account log in emails for their site specific to each of you.

Account Linking issues with Xbox and Epic

We are trying to link my sons Epic Account to his Xbox Live Account, because when created we never linked. Now when trying to update on epic site the "Connected Account" screen advises:

"Your Xbox Live account has already been associated with another Epic Games account."

I cannot figure out what the other account linked is nor how to unlink and link his current account.

Please help

How can do I confirm what the other epic account is to unlink his Xbox Live account.

Thanks for reaching out to us!

I believe whenever an Xbox account plays Fortnite, and Epic account is created that links the Xbox Live servers with the servers for the game.

For Epic account related questions, I would suggest going to
Epic Games Support and look at their help articles related to accounts and you can even contact them about it.

I do know there was a known issue related to Child accounts on Xbox not being able to cross-platform with other users on different platforms. This does not affect adult accounts, so that may be why there is difficulty adding friends on PC or playing with
them on your son's child account.

I believe the issue has been addressed between both parties and hopefully a resolution gets pushed out soon. Apologies for any inconveniences this may cause.
