Linking Accounts

So here's my dilemma... There are some games that I play with the Xbox Game pass on both PC and console, which is fantastical because the saved games carry over. One game in particular I've played a ton of recently is Mech Warrior 5. When I have free time I'm on my gaming desktop and am roughly 80 hours into the story (I have a habit of side-questing to max level in RPGs... it's a thing) and if I'm on the road I use my laptop on lower settings... same save file.

So the issue... When I try to play the same title on my Series X it pulls up a different profile than the one I use on Game Pass. The email account tied to my Xbox live account is a Hotmail address as it's been for a decade+ and so when I log into MW5 on my Console, I see "" in the upper-left corner with a friend/join code. Switch now over to my PC where I use a gmail account (a non-microsoft account) to log into the Microsoft Store and Game Pass. When I boot up the game it has my Gmail account-name in the upper-left instead of my Xbox live name. That's when I started to notice the saved-games are on different accounts but only one of which is a Microsoft account.

Any idea why I would have one Game Pass Ultimate subscription under two different emails (I only pay for one Game Pass)? I would have never noticed there was a difference until I saw my saved game didn't transfer to the Xbox. I went through my Live-account and added said Gmail account as an Alias and even linked my Steam account that uses that Gmail to my Live account, but they're still treated as two different sessions.

I think, there should be service that shifts things from one account to another one. maybe not for merge, one is obsolete.

You don't need to worry as you can't link two accounts.

t's easy to remove any Microsoft account from an Xbox One console; because you don't have to sign in to the account. Here's how:

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.
Select System, then Settings.
Select Account, then Remove accounts.
Select the account that you want to remove, then select Remove to confirm.
When you're finished, select Close.
