Linked Xbox account

Hi,

I hope that someone maybe able to help me but not expecting a miracle ..... on my wife's Xbox one she had our child's account linked to hers but now she is a teen she no longer wants this to be, so i logged into my wife's profile on the laptop and unlinked the teens account problem i have now is that it deleted her account & when i tried to log in to miss teens account on the laptop to check all was OK well it wasn't her account is now gone deleted & she is not very happy with me atm i have tried all the ways to recover her account following MS prompts but no luck ....... is her account gone for good or is there a way that i can a least recover her email account if not her Xbox data as well.

Angry teens are not fun!!!!!

A lot of users have reported this issue! My best advice is to contact Mojang so your account gets linked to the correct email!

Microsoft accounts (regardless of the email host you use) are what are used to log into an Xbox account.

If your Xbox Account is an offline account (which on the 360 the ability to create a local account was possible), you would need to make that offline account an online account by using the Microsoft account (provided it's not already tied to an Xbox gamertag.

If the Xbox account is already an online account with Microsoft account attached to it, then no, you will not be able to merge the 2 accounts together. Nothing can be transferred between accounts so any rewards earned on one account are locked to that account.

Yes, you should be able to do that via your Microsoft Account management page.

This support article here has all the details on

switching the primary email of your Microsoft Account.

It would basically be adding the account to your Microsoft Account as an Alias, and promoting it to the primary account, then removing the other email address. I would recommend following the steps very closely so as not to get anything jumbled.

Unfortunately there isn't a way to transfer balance from your Microsoft account to your Xbox Live account. You can change the Microsoft Account associated with your Xbox Live account with steps in
