Link with external accounts of mine

The problem is that the EA account that is associated with my Xbox account is wrong. My Microsoft/Xbox account was the one that was hacked years ago and they connected their EA account to my Xbox account. EA won’t let me disconnect my Xbox account from that account because I don’t have that account’s information. I can see on the Game Pass app that there is some EA account linked to my Xbox account, but when I click “manage” it brings me to EA’s website. But, again, I cannot sign into this other person’s account to disconnect my Xbox account.

Its ridiculous. Someone should be able to fix this. I am going to have to start another “chat” with EA and they are going to tell me there’s nothing they can do since I don’t have access to that other EA account.

Not sure if you're still facing this problem but I just encountered the same exact thing and was able to revoke permissions to EA from my Microsoft account (the MS account connected to my Gamepass subscription, of course). After doing this I was able to relink my EA account away from the illegitimate email address and launch EA games on my PC.

Click Edit below EA, and click Revoke Permissions. Then open EA and try to link your xbox account again.

I see. So if you were able to retrieve your account and that was linked to a compromised EA account, then EA should be able to configure this for you.

Because unlinking and linking is being done through EA which is why it would redirect you to the EA customer portal website.

And I definitely understand your sentiments and I would feel the same way too if this happened to me as well, I wouldn't want to lose all my sims build but hoping that EA would reconsider your request.

I truly understand how frustrating this might have been to you, though at this point, Xbox doesn't have the ability to unlink your Xbox profile to the compromised EA account so you can be able to link it to your preferred EA account.

With this, I think you just need to report your EA account as hacked since you don't recognize the email that it showed you when you trying to link your Xbox profile, you may refer here: https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/secure-hack...

They can manually manage your account if needed as well.

Again, the EA account was not compromised. The Xbox account was. I am not allowed to link my EA account to the Xbox account because my Xbox account is linked to the hacker’s EA account.

I understand that Xbox can not change how EA links accounts (although frankly they should be able to) but EA is not allowing me to disconnect the hacker’s EA account because, in their eyes, I am editing someone else’s account, which is not allowed.

So my account is just stuck in limbo. I have no options unless I get someone high enough in EA’s customer service that they can override the fact that I’m editing someone else’s account, and based on my conversations so far I don’t think that’s likely. The closest thing I have to an option here is to cancel my Game Pass subscription which I also do not want to do.
