    Limits of the Xbox One Streaming?


    Hey,

    I'm looking at getting an Xbox One and was wondering what limitations there were of the streaming feature to PC.

    Can it stream things you plug into the HDMI IN port? Can it stream apps as well as games? What's the quality/input lag like?

    The limit of changing your home console is three times a year as you mentioned, this limit holds true to linking and unlinking your account from a single Xbox One.

    If I remember right it streams exactly what is on the screen, be it apps, games etc, so if you have SKY plugged into the HDMI IN, it will stream that as well (at least I think it did, only tried it once)

    As for quality, it depends on the quality of your home setup, I have all wired connections so it was almost perfect, but if its streamed over Wi-Fi then you may not get as good an experience.

    Hello SocramXB. The game streaming function has as one of the limitations that the Xbox and the PC that is
    accepting the game stream need to be on the same network. This also has the limitation of only allowing one PC at a time to connect to the stream.

    Xbox game streaming is currently limited to 1080P. This means it will look no different on the Series X|S to what it does on the original Xbox One or when running via a device with a 4K display.
