Limited Gold faceplate from launch of xbox 360 1st gen?

Hello,

I have in my possession a gold (painted) first generation xbox 360 faceplate. Glued to it is a small solid gold plaque with the text "XBOX 360 LAUNCH LIMITED EDITION 16/100". I got it from a friend at work back during my days as an employee at a British
video game store chain called GAME (although I live and work in Sweden), who in turn supposedly got it from Microsoft. Every now and then I've scanned the internet for info, but it seems impossible to find proof of it's genuineness, although I'm pretty sure
it is given where it came from...?!

Anyhoo, now I'm looking to sell it, as it only sits in a drawer collecting dust, when it could be owned by someone who appreciates it more than I do. I'm pretty sure whoever wants to buy it will require some sort of proof that it is in fact a genuine product,
which is why I'm posting it here (since there seems to be no way of contacting Microsoft directly via email?). Please see linked pictures below.

Any information - although no vague guesses or false information please - would be highly appreciated. Thank you!

What are you guys gonna do with your 360?

I have a launch day xbox 360 and an 05' E3 faceplate.

It's going to sit in its original box in a rubbermaid contain in my basement.

 

I plugged a wireless USB connector into an Xbox 360, I can't get it out

If it is the larger launch xbox 360 you can probably just pull the front faceplate panel off other than that the best I can think of right now is to power the console off and maybe try a pair of tweezers or small nose pliers to gently try and pull it out
whilst holding the flap open

I have had a thorough search of the internet and Xbox Support rooms myself to find any information linked to this and i have come up with nothing. This leads me to doubt how genuine the faceplate is. I am in the UK myself and bought an Xbox 360 when they
were first released so i got a first gen one and never heard anything about this either.

Sorry i could not be more helpful but they is just no information out there about this!
