Limited edition Halo 5 Xbox One bundle does not allow for physical copy of halo 5 exchange

I recently bought the halo 5 xbox one bundle and to say that I was excited is an understatement. I am however extremely disappointed in the fact that I am unable to swap my digital copy for a physical one. I'm a little rattled that only the collectors edition
is eligible for this considering that the xbox bundle costs considerably more. To make matters worse, when I went to swap my copy it wasn't until after the hour long process that they eventually told me that I am not eligible for the swap. Instead the customer
service representative suggested that I return my xbox one bundle and purchase the collectors edition instead with a regular xbox one. Even though I'm not considering it, this is now also impossible considering how I've already scratched the code required
to determine if I was eligible for the physical copy. Lastly this bundle is a limited edition so it absolutely should've been able to get the physical copy and the fact that it can't is outrageous.

You have received your Limited Collector’s Edition of Halo 5: Guardians.

You have not redeemed the code for the digital version of Halo 5: Guardians.

Fyi the reason they are doing this is because you got a prepaid to predownload it with the collectors edition rather then a disk

The limited edition is a disk copy vs the collectors was a code with physical items like the guardian etc

Yeah they said you can trade the Halo 5 X1 digital copy for the physical copy. They told me its not a Limited Edition, but I have all the Limited Edition stuff but its not a Limited Edition.

 

That's too bad I don't understand why they would do that.....Play the digital version then, it's a fantastic game.

 

They give you a free game and you're upset because you won't be able to resell it in the future

Maybe research before you purchase next time?

 

I would've thought it would be more eligible to turn in for a physical copy BEFORE it was scratched; or at least have some value to sell and use the proceeds to buy a hard copy.

True, though the physical copy can be sold or traded if it's not to your liking; even has a value if you want to get rid of the system later on. A console with 12 physical games has a lot more value than any amount of digital games on it.
