Lights on 360 Wireless Controller keep flashing

    Hi

I have a wireless 360 controller that when I try to sync to the xbox, will stop the lights going round and flash to acknowledge the sync, but then will immediately go back to flashing the 4 lights constantly.

I have another 360 controller that sync fine, and I've also tried connecting the first controller with a wired cable, but there's no change at all. Also I've power cycled the controller and the console, no change either

Any suggestions on what the problem could be, and how to fix it?

    Thanks

    :)

How to use the Xbox 360 Wireless Microphone

It is better to hold the microphone 0.5-3 inches (1-8 cm) from your mouth at the time of singing or speaking. Don’t blow into the microphone or tap directly on the microphone windscreen.

It is possible to use up to two wired or wireless controllers together with the microphones. You cannot use a microphone if a wired headset is connected to your console. But the Xbox 360 Wireless Microphone doesn’t interfere with any other wired or wireless Xbox 360 accessories.

    The Microphone indicator lights

You can easily understand your microphone status from the built in lights shining.

    • If the lights flash green one time every second, it indicates that the power is on.
    • If the lights flash green four times every second, it indicates that the microphone is connecting.
    • If the lights flash blue and then stops, it means that the connection is completed.
    • If the lights flash green one time every second, it means that your microphone is out of the wireless range of your console.
It is also very important to understand the battery status signals.

    • If the battery of your microphone is low, the lights will flash amber one time every three seconds.
    • If the battery status is critical, the lights will flash amber one time every second.

Lights on 360 Wireless Controller keep flashing

    Hi there,

can you replace the batteries for that controller, to see if that makes any difference.

Also try powering the console off, disconnect the power supply from the wall and console and leave it like that for at least 60 seconds. After that connect the power supply to the console and the wall socket and power the console on again.

    Let us know the results

    Hey, thanks for the response

Unfortunately it didn't work either, its odd the controller seems to register that its trying to sync but then just sort of gives up...?

Could be from interference. I would try a different brand of batteries though. Sometimes the controller just doesn't sit well with what type of batteries you're using.

If possible, also try to synch the controller to a different 360 console, to see if it willl work. If it works try and synch it again to your console

Ive seen this issue before, its generally a hit and miss fix, but if you have a second console or have a friend that can let you sync it to theirs first to rule out the console being at fault, if it does the same on the second console, then its the controller
that's faulty and needs to be repaired or replaced

  9. Hello.

If you have two controllers synk the one which works fine up 1st, and then synk the one you're having trouble with as controller 2. If no joy try synking up with a 2nd console. In this way you'll change the RF signal in the controller and then retry the
    controller with your console again.

Hope you get it working again.
