Lightning Returns Final Fanasty XIII

Well after finally finishing Lighting Returns I can say I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. I loved the ending and though it was great even though I've already heard people complaining about it. I guess people just like to
complain, because it finally is an ending for the FF XIII series.

The few things that bugged me a little about would be first, the Synergist and Medic have been almost completely removed and now rely on the Garbs for an short version or Potions. I hate Potions in all FF Games and always have but that's just me. I would rather
have my Character capable of doing those things, not having to use a Potion to do it. But that it is what it is.

Second, Normal is a little too frustrating. It was a difficult FF Game and all the people that say "it's easy" sound more like they are not telling the truth. Yes, you can play on Easy but the point being "Normal" on Lighting Returns is much more like Hard.
Either way though, it was still fun and satisfying.

Yeah, did I mention I loved the ending?

 

I am definitely going to pick it up, but still waiting for a price cut just incase I am not keen on it, the price cut will soften my potentially negative opinion of the game, because I really want to like it, but the time limit is a bit of a deal breaker
for me...

 

I'm telling you, don't even worry about the time limit thing. It's non existent and is simply ranting from the Internet. It's actually a necessary part of the Game as seeing how the only way to Level up is to do Quest. You can't
do the same Quest more then once in one Play so the world needs to end and hence the "time limit" is actually part of the Game-play.

A first play-through on Normal and you probably won't get to see all 13 days nor even half the Game but it's fine, you're Leveled up a little more for the next time around. It was actually my third play-through (well two and half) before I finished the Game
and I am still going back to clean up a few things.

First play ended with the destruction of the world. Second play I got all the way to the end to only find there was no way I could even touch either optional Super-boss or finish the final boss. It wasn't until I had to reset the world and start all over again
that I was able to do those.

If the world ends, so be it and just continue playing.

13-2 was an improvement but I agree with said above it goes from super easy to insane without warning. And I couldnt even tell the difference between easy and normal mode haha.

[/quote]You had to then your OP. 13 was much better then 13-2 imo, I wasnt a huge fan of the QTE's felt kinda cheap.

@Defy, I was a bit dubious at first, but it is growing on me, I'm very hopeful I will really enjoy it, got a few hours in then reverted to an earlier save to re-do it with my new found knowledge, I wasted a lot of time aimlessly wandering due to not knowing
what I was doing, I should be ok now....

 

Anyone else who has played the game have an opinion on it or should I let this thread die?
