    Like the title says, my Xbox One console will make a "clicking" sound, and the console "on" light will flash on and off for about 10 seconds-ish. I know it will do that when it's background downloading and turned off, but this is when my console is on and
    the flashing is more rapid. Also, the power supply light is white and not flashing. It doesn't seem to interfere with game play at all, and I haven't been able to nail down a specific source that "triggers" it. I'm just curious if this is indicative of a hardware
    problem or something I should be concerned about in the future. Also, it just started happening within the last month I believe, and I've had the console for years.

    I have some questions for you that will help us better understand the situation:

    1. What style of Xbox 360 console do you have?
    2. How long has it been having the issue you're describing?
    3. When did you replace the power supply? Before or after the issue started?
    4. When the console is on and running, does it behave normally (aside from the 480p resolution)?
    5. The console turns itself on and off even when no one is touching it or any controllers?
    6. How many lights are flashing on your console?
    7. Which lights are flashing on your console?
    8. What color are the lights that are flashing on your console?
    9. What color is the light on your power supply?

    Also, here's four different guides on flashing lights. Since I'm not sure what console you have and what lights are flashing, I'm going to link them all. Let us know if any of these apply to your situation:

    Flashing xbox lights while on

    hi, have noticed today that my xbox one power button on the base is flashing while on. The only issues i have been having with my xbox of late is cortana activating at random and not responding to commands and ideas?

    It almost sounds like the sync button for the controllers was pressed, does that button seem to be in good shape? No dust or dirt on it? If it happens again I'd be curious to know if you pressed the sync button on your controller if it would re-sync the
    controller and stop the light from flashing.
