    Lies, lies... and horrible customer service...


    I just got off the phone with customer support trying to get my Halo Wars Definitive Edition code after I pre-ordered Halo Wars 2. After waiting a week for my code I finally started reaching out. After not getting any return from the internet support online
    I called support via the phone.

    I spoke to a guy who said his name was Joe. He told me to wait ten to seven days and then try back if I still hadn't received a code. They refused any other help than this so I asked to speak to his supervisor, a guy he claimed was named "Ben." We went
    round and round about Ben's availability and finally when I asked to speak to Ben's supervisor he then told me he had no idea who that was. Really?

    Then when I asked several times, Ben became available. Ben said the same thing. That in order to receive a digital code I would have to wait ten to seven more days. I told him that this was not acceptable and that there was nothing stating this when I
    originally completed my pre-order. He said that they wouldn't do anything about it and if I didn't like XBox One's policies I should go online and submit a suggestion to change them.

    I then again told him that this was unacceptable and I should have simply bought a physical copy of the game. I asked him to make this right, somehow. I asked for money on our Microsoft account or Xbox account. He then told me that he was not going to
    give me anything. He then hung up on me.

    I have one thing to say.... "BUY PLAYSTATION 4" Just use prepaid cards instead of putting your actual credit card info on their network.

    Fellow gamers we are tired of being lied too and made to wait for these game codes so my advice to you is this...

    Wait the 7-10 days as they are suggesting then ask for a refund. Go to your local game store and buy it there. Only when the thieves at microsoft start losing sales and money from their pockets will they figure out they messed up. You will get a run around
    when calling support, you will be lied to here when they say they pass your info along onto the proper people. Simply ask for a refund and go buy it elsewhere. To hell with the crap you have to put up here and with their so called customer support. Stop wasting
    our time with lies microsoft just tell us the truth!!!

    Go ahead and delete this comment mods... it will only prove im right Lies, lies... and horrible customer service... :)

    I received a code but it says it has been redeemed and can't be used. I havnt redeemed it ! I've been directed here after speaking to their customer support for 50 min ! Not great

    Sorry to hear about the issue. Our investigative teams have determined that the account you are posting from does not show a pre-order for Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition. If you feel that is in error, can you please provide us with a screenshot of your
    Microsoft Commerce account that shows the pre-order? If you have a different account that the pre-order was made on, you'll need to post back with that account so we can help you further.

    To jump in on what Miss Bijoux is saying, the description of
    Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition
    also clearly states that it can take 7-10 days before you get your code after pre-ordering (emphasis my own below). Sometimes you'll notice that there's a delay, but they tend to be really good about sending those out. Phone
    and chat cannot help you until you've waited that time frame because it's a legal thing. Also, note that Halo Wars Definitive Edition
    only comes with the Ultimate Edition pre-order, not the regular pre-order.

    However, please do post back with what Miss Bijoux is looking for. She can definitely help you out, or at least get your situation sorted. :3

    I'm having the exact same issue as the OP. I pre-ordered on 12/22/2016 and have called Xbox Support asking for a code. The lady I spoke with, Megan, didn't even understand what a pre-order bonus was. I had to explain it to her, and then she proceeded
    to tell me that Halo Wars 2 isn't out until February and I have to wait until then! I tried to explain that she was mistaken but she hurriedly cut me off and hung up on me. I agree this type of service is unacceptable when it is something that was advertised
    as an incentive to pre-order through the digital store. I'll be more than happy to provide any screenshots necessary to prove that I should be allowed to download Halo Wars Definitive Edition if someone knowledgeable would be able to help me out, please!
