Licensed content on two consoles

I just bought a second XBox 360 for the bedroom and I was wondering if it's possible to play the games, or even more importantly the downloaded content (i.e. songs for Rocksmith) on both consoles. If that's not possible, then is it possible to transfer only
some licensed content from one console to the other?

HELP - DLC not accesible

Just to add to this, DRM based content is issued with two licenses, one to the console ID and one to the Gamertag that downloaded it, so to use this content on another console the Gamertag that downloaded it must be signed into Live, whereas all profiles can use it on the original console, unless you transfer the licenses with the DRM tool of course.

license transfert

Are both profiles on the same console? Have you recently performed a license transfer? Any profile on a console that is licensed (ie, the console it was purchsed on or that the licenses were tranferred to) will be able to access the content. Only the profile
used to purchase it will be able to acces the content on a non-licensed console, and only when connected to LIVE.

The account that purchased the content can use the content on both consoles as long as it's signed into Live. It would not be possible for all profiles to use it on both consoles. A license transfer will transfer all licenses. There is no option to pick
and choose which ones.

If you have the first console always connected then transfer all licences to the bedroom console, and make all future purchases on the bedroom console, that way you can use content in the bedroom. Yet because the main console is always connected to live
you wont notice any different. UNLESS more than one profile uses the main console, then you may have issues

The reason that you had to do a license transfer is that when you purchase content, it comes with two distinct licenses. The first licenses the content to your account, allowing you to use it on any console. The second licenses the content to the console
the purchase was made from (or from your regular console if purchased via the website) and this license allows any user of that console to use the content. This is the license that moves with a license transfer.

Xbox content licenses are bound to two things. The gamertag that purchases it, and the console it's purchased on. Transferring licenses just swaps the licenses over to the console you perform the transfer on. As long as one of the two is present - you are
either on the console who currently has the licenses, or signed into the gamertag that purchased the content - you will have no problems playing it. If you do run into issues, call customer support to set up a manual content license transfer.

A License Transfer is only required if you're changing consoles.

Content contains two licenses, one for the console it is downloaded to first, the other for the gamertag that purchased it.

When you change consoles, that console license has to be updated for the content to work when offline.
