License Transferred but downloads through Marketplace on computer still assigning to another ...

I was downloading games through the marketplace on my computer browser, and when I checked my XBox it showed those active downloads were assigned to another console. A quick web search led me to the License Transfer option. I thought this would make my current
console "My Console," but after the license transfer completed, I continued to download demos through the Marketplace, and they continued showing as assigned to another console. So I had to manually re-download those in my queue to my current system.

Is there a different option to make this console my default console for downloads through the marketplace? Or does it just take some time to catch up?

Can I transfer my profile license for the DLC I bought?

Unfortunately the only way to do it is to purchase it with the account you want it on. Licenses can't be transferred between profiles, only consoles.

Here are the details direct from the support site on the subject.

The Content licenses are stored in the Xbox 360 console rather than in the Xbox LIVE account.

To enable someone else's Xbox LIVE account to use your content licenses, you must download your Xbox LIVE profile and then transfer your content licenses to that person's Xbox 360 console.

To download your Xbox LIVE profile to a different Xbox 360 console, see Download, move, or delete your Xbox LIVE profile.

To transfer a content license from one Xbox 360 console to another, see Can I transfer a content license from one Xbox 360 console to another?

After you've downloaded your Xbox LIVE profile and transferred your content licenses to another Xbox 360 console, the content can be used by all the profiles on that console.

Transferring Licenses are always a troublesome thing if one is just wanting to know. Basically, when you bring the licensed content over to another 'serial' numbered xbox, you will have to redownload all of the content again. Using a transfer cable will
not transfer licenses. Instead, after transferring the license, you may be prompted to redownload all your transferred licenses on to your newly licensed console. Wherever console you buy your games on (The Moment you Purchase), the license stays with that
console. Yes, you can download other things. But if the content you have is just transferred between a transfer cable, you will need to be online until you redownload the content in order to use it fully. Please read about the DRM

When did you do the license transfer for your Xbox 360 consoles? It very well could take some time for the system to recognize that the transfer happened. If you download the content through the console Marketplace, does it get downloaded to the correct
console? If so, you may want to use that as a temporary work around until things smooth out.

If it continues to not work properly, post back and let us know and we'll dig a bit.

I'm a complete newbie when it comes to Xbox and Microsoft... If I buy something from the site, and it downloads to my console, that says "Assigned to another console", can I still download it from there? Or would I have wasted my points? I did the license
transfer, it still says assigned to another console.

Update: i followed everything Mister Fizzle recommended including the transfer license, clearing system and marketplace cache, restarting xbox, tested connection speed (9.7Mbps) and even trieded queuing it up form the website. I literally tried all the above
steps and i still can't download. Also after transferring the license it still says under my active downloads next to the game "Assigned to other console."

The license transfer doesn't apply to future transactions. As this download was after you completed the transfer, it's still tied to your brother's console.

Also, while I'm not 100% sure on this, what you're doing could be considered marketplace theft. The license transfer is meant to transfer your licenses to another console, not share content around.

Yup, that part I know. If I perform the Content License Transfer on my new console _prior_ to migrating my content over, does that waste the Content License Transfer?
