License Transfer Trouble

I've recently downloaded a friend's account in order to license transfer on my console. When I go to license transfer the screen reads,

"There was a problem communicating with Xbox Live. Please try again later. For more info, visit
www.xbox.com/support/licensemigration/"

The license transfer became available on 9/11/15 yet every day since it has displayed this message. It is extremely frustrating and any help would be much appreciated.

You can try contacting support to see if they can get you access to the account or see if they will do the transfer (they can do it under some circumstances but I don't know if this will qualify).

There is no guarantee they can do either. You normally do have to have access to the account in order to do the transfer.

I honestly think Microsoft doesn't think when they do things. So I have two xbox 360's in my home. One in my room and one in my living area. Well I recently did a license transfer from the xbox in my room to the one in the living area and everything was
fine. I might need to add that there are multiple accounts on each of the xbox 360's my account being on both because sometimes I like to play in my room or sometimes in my living room. Any ways everything was fine until one if my kids tried to sign in on
there account with the xbox that is I'm my room. They are not able to play any dlc for any call of dutys or border lands or any game that has in game content downloaded. My account is the only account that can play the dlc since I licensed transferred to the
xbox in my loving area. I'm really upset about this. I would like a solution. And fast .

 

Signing in on an account that isn't yours is against the TOS. Using the License Transfer tool to share content is also against the TOS and can be seen as marketplace theft/fraud and can lead to all accounts and consoles involved being permanently banned
from Xbox Live.

 

Homegrown-Silky - On their Digital Rights Management Page on their site, they list specific instructions on how to License Transfer for the purpose of sharing games.

 

1. You shouldn't be bumping posts from 6 months ago.

2. You can use it to share games on other consoles in your own house but sharing with friends living elsewhere is a bannable offense. You don't have to believe it but there has never been sanctioned game sharing with friends except for the loaning of physical
discs. Remember the announcement of the introduction of game sharing with the Xbox One. There were all sorts of requirements that had to be met in order for this to work but the internet freaked out over it and it has not happened as a result. This never
was a policy for the Xbox 360. It has never been a feature and there is nowhere on that page that mentions game sharing with friends.

You will find this though "If your console was recently repaired, or if you’ve purchased a new console, use the licence transfer option on your console to transfer content licences". That is what the license transfer tool is for. Nothing else. People
get banned for marketplace theft/fraud for this offense. As an ambassador, you should know better.
