If my cousin and I perform a license transfer from his xbox to mine, will we both be able to play his downloaded games on both of our Xboxes? I understand how to perform the license transfer but I just want to make sure he doesn't loose the ability to
play the game he is trying to share with me, and that we can both play the game(s) on both of our concoles at the same time. Thanks in advance

AuRoRa Nemesis, have you tried downloading the content to the new console and using it there? The license transfer only transfers the license that allows the console access the content when disconnected to LIVE. If you were expecting the content to be tranferred
automaticall, that does not happen; it must be downloaded to the new console manually.

Are both profiles on the same console? Have you recently performed a license transfer? Any profile on a console that is licensed (ie, the console it was purchsed on or that the licenses were tranferred to) will be able to access the content. Only the profile
used to purchase it will be able to acces the content on a non-licensed console, and only when connected to LIVE.

If your cousin does not own the Xbox he is license transferring to and does not live with you then what you are asking is considered Marketplace Theft and could result in both accounts and/or consoles being banned from the Live service altogether.

Why not just head over to his place to play the games you want to play or purchase them yourself to avoid future problems?

When you transfer licences, the console to which the licences are transferred can play all the content regardless of profiles signed in or whether they are online or offline; in addition, the purchasing profile can play the content provided it is signed
in and connected to Xbox Live.

However, as pointed out by Onyx, you should be aware of the Terms of Use of Xbox Live which would consider it Marketplace Theft if you are trying to gain access to content you do not own and using this as a method by which to avoid paying for content.

Tham you both for your answers, I didnt know cause i had heard of people using the transfer method to play their friends dlcs and games on their system while using their friends profile and ther own, and i have never heard of marketplace theft before. Thanks

So this mean that after the license transfer to console B, all the games in console A will not be able to played using my sons account. I rather not transfer the license since with current setup, I can still play the download games in my console B while
my sons play theirs on console A. The only problem is with Forza Horizon which need a license transfer to work on console B. Without the transfer, it will have the disc error error that many forumers have been complaining. It mean that I can never play
this game as I cannot re-purchase with the same account and license tranfer will mess up my games licenses spread in the two consoles. Any one has a better solution ?

I have similar problem. I have been purchasing and downloading all the games under my account to a xbox 360 console (console A) shared by me and my sons. Recently, we run out of HDD space and I go on to buy another console (console B) with bigger storage.

Is it possible to activate a license transfer just to some of my purchased games I played to console B and keep the rest of the games license in console A ? This is to allow me to have spaces on both consoles and will be able to download games played by
my sons on console A and also download my games to my console B.

The answers I got from this forum is confusing. Some said license transfer is for all the game licenses from old console into a new/replacement console which is not what I want to. Some said license transfer only applied to those games that you re-download
after license transfer. Who is correct ? Can anyone in Microsoft support able to clarity this ?

I do not to want to wait for 4 month if I do it wrongly.
