    License Transfer Problems with Destiny DLC


    Hey. So, my cousin license transferred to my 360, and I clicked download on the Taken King DLC for destiny. But, the content was not transferred over to my account. Help?

    not sure if this is against the TOS and sorry if it is but I have a question

    Friend bought The Taken King disc and it came with the download code for the extra content. Well, his wife thought it was trash and discarded it... Would it be possible for him to sign into my account on his xbox and download the content? If so, would he just be able to sign into his account after the fact and play the expansions? AND if so, would it work to where we both could play the expansions at the same time?

    If this isn't possible, anyone have an idea how he can work around the codes being thrown away? He legit paid for the whole game, just his dumbass wife threw the ish away.

    license transfer for Destiny DLC?

    I believe for this to work when he signed into his console he would have to make your account the primary account on the Xbox. Just like game sharing. As long as he leave sit as the primary he should have access to it under his account. You just cant set your account to your primary account on your own Xbox.

    Ok, first off you are not allowed to do this. It is considered Marketplace Theft and could result in both the gamertags and/or consoles involved being banned from Live.

    Also, you would not be able to share the content if it had worked anyway. Bungie has released this game so that the content cannot be shared between accounts. You would need to purchase your own copy.

    Is Microsoft (or the account owner) capable of doing a precision license transfer?

    When doing a license transfer to another console you have no choice as to what is or is not moved.

    With that being said (and I can't guarantee this has not been changed) when I had a second console in my house I did a license transfer to the family console. Only licenses for content that I redownloaded after the transfer were transferred.

    Say for instance you have CoD: AW and Destiny but only want to move the license for Destiny. Do the license transfer and then download Destiny.

    If nothing has been changed anyone will be able to play CoD on the first console and anyone can play Destiny on the second console. But, as I said, I can't guarantee that will work anymore as it's been quite a few years since I needed to do a license transfer
    to a separate console.

    This maybe late, but did you do a license transfer on the console you currently use, if not, I'd recommend you do that, I had the same exact problem and doing a license transfer did the trick, when you do a license transfer, re download the DLC packs again
    and see if this helped.

    Sounds like a license problem, put the content on your hard drive not your sons or memory stick. Call 1 800 4 MYXBOX

    Somebody can walk you through how to restore the dlc license to your console, you do it here on Xbox.com

    I have a feeling this is your problem, I had to do a license transfer for all my arcade games after I transferred my dlc from one hard drive to another when I upgraded from the elite console to the slim while ago. License transfer is easy and fast.

    The Game Downloaded won't play on other profiles.

    I'm having the same problem! Except, I couldn't play it. It would just say can't be launched. But I transferred the license and it still didn't work.. My boyfriend downloaded "Destiny" on his xbox360, then turned around and transferred the license to mine
    so I could play it. But it still wont let me play at all..
