License Transfer on XBox 360 won't work

Discus and support License Transfer on XBox 360 won't work in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have attempted a license transfer between 2 XBox 360 consoles I own several times over the past year.     License Transfer on XBox 360 won't work


    I have attempted a license transfer between 2 XBox 360 consoles I own several times over the past year. Almost every time (I just tried again a minute ago) it comes back with this error:

    "There was a problem communicating with XBox Live. Please try again later."

    Everything else on the console works: I can view Dashboard content, play games online, join party chats, etc. But I get this error constantly with no recourse for fixing it. Any ideas?

    Xbox 360 downloaded games query...

    Xbox 360 games won't work on the one that is true but a license transfer is still a license transfer and will more than likely cause licensing issues for the games on the sold 360 console.

    when licence transferring on the xbox can the downloads continue downloading when your signed in to another account on the xbox

    It won't get anyone in trouble because it won't work you CANNOT transfer license from one account to another.

    The issue eventually resolved itself, I got the transfer to work after numerous attempts throughout the day. I guess the moral of the story is to keep trying.

    Xbox 360 games won't work on the one that is true but a license transfer is still a license transfer and will more than likely cause licensing issues for the games on the sold 360 console.

    License Transferring does what the name says, it transfers the licenses of games to a different console. Transferring 360 games will not work with Xbox One's BC, it will only work with the account that they was purchased with.

    I'm trying to license transfer DLC for Xbox 360 but by accident I exited out without doing anything I have to wait until July now

    You would have to try contacting support to see if they can reset it. http://support.xbox.com/contact-us although if you're trying to license transfer to move the content to a different profile, it won't work. License transfers are only to transfer your licenses between consoles in case you get a new console. It won't transfer licenses between accounts.

    As originally stated it is because the titles are not backwards compatible. It doesn't matter if you already purchased it on the Xbox 360, it's telling you to buy it again because you have to. The licenses won't transfer between Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
