License Transfer Issues

I recently bought an XBox 360 to replace an older one that wasn't working. I transferred my licenses over to the new XBox 360 and began re-downloading all the games I had downloaded in the past to update licenses to the new system.

The majority of games are downloading properly, but some of the games I've tried to download again through my download history are asking me to purchase them a second time.

I already bought these games once or got them through XBox Live Games with Gold. I don't want to have to purchase them again. Is there a way around this problem?

License transfer issues

Unfortunately if it was unsuccessful, you will need to wait another 4 months in order to do it again.

However they should still be able to access them on the console you downloaded them from.

If it doesn't show up on that list, it's likely you bought it on a different gamertag. Check with your purchase history online here or make sure the points were deducted at
http://billing.microsoft.com .

Phone support can possibly send up an escalation to get it manually fixed if this is the right account.

Hey there, this does sound interesting because if I go to
commerce.microsoft.com I can't see them in my purchase history which means there isn't really a record of me 'purchasing' the game. I personally haven't tried to re-download any GwG though.

I'm not sure if anyone here on the forums will be able to help though as it's kind of billing related, to cover all bases I would contact phone support and see what they have to say about it:

This is a license transfer issue. The DLC is licensed to the gamer tag, and not the console. if you do a license transfer you will be able to play offline without issues.

If the other profiles are not able to play the games, then it is a license issue so transferring the licenses will fix the issue, you would just be transferring the licenses to that console.

The licenses are tied to your account so transferring them won't effect your ability to play them on your account.

i recently got banned so i had to make a new account & i have no dlc, if i use my friends account and do a license transfer, will i be taking his dlc away or am i just redownloading onto my console so i can have it ?

From the download queue, select "Download All Items" and it will change the current console to your primary console. Once you do this, this message will go away and items queued from the website will be sent to the correct console.
