  2. Very confusing and possibly uneeded.

So i am getting a new xbox. But i using the old hard drive. Because of course it holds all my memory. But i called up xbox live support and they said to completely transfer everything to the new console (by new from an old slim to a new slim) i need to transfer
my license. So my question is, why not just have eveything on the hard drive.(My question mark key insint working)Instead of going through the trouble of transfering licenses. All the DLC's are already on the hard drive so whats the point of transfering licenses.
    Sorry for the bad grammar.

Replaced Hard Drive, No Longer Able to Use Online Passes

Licenses are tied to the console, not the hard drive. If the hard drive was all that was changed, then a license transfer shouldn't be necessary.

    License Transfer Hard Drive question

Yes. The licenses are tied to your console, not the hard drive. So you'd only be downloading the licenses, not all of the data for the games.

Upgrading from 250 to 320 gig HDD + DRM?

License transfers are only needed if you switch consoles, not hard drives. Since the licenses are tied to the console itself and not the hard drive.

How can i make sure i can play Digital games and DLC linked to my profile on my OTHER Xbox's, after LIVE is discontinued?

The licenses are tied to the console so using the same hard drive would not transfer the licenses and licenses cannot be transferred via transfer cable. The only way to transfer licenses is through a licence transfer over Live.

G'day Uzumaki! Are you able to answer Mister Fizzle's question? If you're on the same hard drive but a different console, then a license transfer will definitely help here.
