License Transfer/games/dlc help please..!

I bought a new 360 on Friday, I tried to transfer licenses from my boyfriend's (also my original) 360, so I would be able to have all my dlcs and digital games on my new box. Ive been given tons of different answers.. 1. Does he need to be signed in on my
xbox in order for me to play any of the games? Ive seen people say yes and no to this.. 2. The license transfer didn't work or I messed up on it, after I transfered the licenses I downloaded the games I wanted, just once, did I need to do it twice? The DLC
and games showed up when I was logged into his account on my xbox, but when I switched to my live account I didnt have access to the DLC or games. Any help would be appreciated! I really hope those games and dlcs dont just end up being a waste of money :/

I license transfer a DLC. I then noticed that it wouldn't let him play. Would I have to wait 4 months for him to download it back from my account? Or is it just for me to wait 4 months to license transfer something again? Please help.

Friend bought The Taken King disc and it came with the download code for the extra content. Well, his wife thought it was trash and discarded it... Would it be possible for him to sign into my account on his xbox and download the content? If so, would he just be able to sign into his account after the fact and play the expansions? AND if so, would it work to where we both could play the expansions at the same time?

If this isn't possible, anyone have an idea how he can work around the codes being thrown away? He legit paid for the whole game, just his dumbass wife threw the ish away.

Hi there - you need to make sure your boyfriend's account is also signed into Xbox Live (as well as your own) when you try to access the content. When you do this, you should have no problem playing the DLC he purchased.

 

So the only way I can use the DLC is if Im logged into his account?

 

No - he simply needs to be signed into the console AS WELL as you.

 

But the games should be playable no matter what right? Also can he be signed in offline or does it have to be online?

 

Still no answers.. really desperate for some help!
